See: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...ringing_the_horror_to_switch_on_28th_november

Earlier this year it was confirmed that both Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 were coming to the Nintendo Switch. The former was originally on 3DS and then Wii U, but Nintendo gamers missed out on what was - at that point - the episodic sequel on PS4 / Xbox One / PC / everything but Wii U.

With the first Revelations just recently arriving on other current-gen systems, Capcom has confirmed that both titles will head to Switch on 28th November. It was previously confirmed that there'll be a retail version for $39.99USD that will have the first game on cartridge and the second as a download code, while they'll be available for $19.99 each on the eShop. That's not bad pricing for fairly meaty games.

We were fans of the first one on 3DS and then Wii U, and this scribe bought the follow-up on PS4 before losing interest in the episodic releases halfway through; hopefully it'll hold attention when included in the full download.

Are you planning to pick these up?

Why they are having a physical copy for number 1 but a download only code for the 2nd one is beyond me?

only if i find a very good deal becuase i only like having games phisical version, and paying 40 for just the first one phisical version seems too heavy imo, its very sad they didnt released both on cartrige or atleast the second one phisical and first one digital since nintendo users already had the first one on both 3ds and wiiu lol.

Just saw this on gematsu! great to see these coming to switch! If i remember correctly wasnt RER2 episodic or had some form of story dlc?

if so then, have capcom announced if or not both games will include DLC or their story episodes? or will that be separate? meaning we pay for them via the store?

the episodes are all gone you will just download a full version with all episodes into one, i highly doubt they will put a bunch of random episodes for you to buy when they are done, it will probably be just a full iso.

I'd prefer RE4 HD or one of the early game HD remasters. Maybe in the future, I guess.
oh, please!
I love Resident Evil 4. I've beaten this game 13823712893 times. xD
I guess I have this game on almost every platform
(Gamecube, WIi, WiiU, PC, PC Ultimate HD, PS3, PS4)

I think there's no point getting them for the Switch if you've played and beaten the game unless it's on sale or part of your collection. It's available on other platforms, plus it's cheaper especially on Steam.

I've played RE Revelations first on the 3DS and I was in love with it. It was graphically good and I was having fun playing it especially with the Circle Pad Pro back then. As for the sequel, I played it on the PC. Most games are always superior on the PC unless it's badly ported.

edit: Glad to see more games are being announced for the Switch.

I played 1 on 3DS, good game, never picked the PS4 version of RE:R2, I wished to buy then on Switch, but no cartridge version of 2 makes me rethink the whole thing

Every RE Part was a good game imo
I enjoyed 0 to 7 and also darkside chronicles, umbrella chronicles and rev 1 + 2

I like every re part i guess :O

Me too. I dont care what they say. :)

By the way, I will pass this one. I am fine with PS4 for both games. This one I am disappointment with is: One physical and one digital download. Very wrong decision made, Capcom. Very stupid. Tsk tsk.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
