You fight find a tool on here but you're not gonna find a prepatched voice.
It would have to have all the voices, making it around 1GB in size. And it's not copyright safe, it violates the rules here.

Don't get me wrong, i know that piracy is prohibited here, so i would never ask for a pre patched version. Actually i tried to patch my english patched version with this voice patch today, but i have no idea how it works.

https://github.com/ZhenjianYang/ZeroAoVoice-PSP#5about-the-script-files

I'm no programmer, so this whole tutorial goes a bit over my head. Actually with only 2 steps i don't understand at all what to do:

"5. Add script files(.bin) with voice instructions to ISO via tools/AddScnsToIso"

I visited this github page (https://github.com/ZhenjianYang/ZeroAoVoice-PSP/tree/master/tools/AddScnsToIso) and i don't know how to download these files. I only get some kind of code page. Also: How would i use this .cpp file if i somehow managed to download it. It doesn't seem to be an exe.

Also: "6. Extract voice files(.at9) from the Vita edition game and convert them to wav with at9tool."

Where do i find these .at9 files in the directory of the Vita game and how do i extract them?

Has anyone tried to apply the patch and can give me advice? Supposedly it doesn't work with the english patch, but recently the voice patch for Ao by the same guy was sucessfully applied to the Ao machine translation and few people at the PPSSPP forum did it supposedly with the English patched Zero version.

Is there anyway to combine the english patch with the voiced version?.
It has been done to Ao but I can't find anything to zero.

I successfully did both separately. But I get errors when I try to apply the English patch to the voiced game and vice versa. I guess some coding is required.
Can someone modify the english patch to make it work with the voiced game?.

Have you tried to apply the voice patch first or the other way around... Just curious. I'm to uneducated to even apply the voice patch at all:

How did you accomplish step 5? I can't download or use this .cpp file.

I tried both. First I intended to apply the voices to the translated game but it doesn't open with WQSG_UMD and I had other issues when I tried similar programs. Then I tried doing the voice patch first but then the english patch says it cannot find some files or paths.

step 5: Add script files(.bin) with voice instructions to ISO via tools/AddScnsToIso

If you have the tools from the project (AddScnsToIso.exe + the script files folder)

rename the script files folder to zero and put your dumped iso (rename it E.iso for simplicity) and the AddScnsToIso.exe in the same folder. Then hold shift and right click in the mouse. You will see an option to open command prompt in this folder.

write AddScnsToIso.exe E.iso zero.

This is out of my head because I don't have my laptop currently.

other advices:

for step 7
7. Convert wav files to at3 (via at3tool, need to resample to 44100Hz first.) or ogg.
At3 is recommended.

I used a free program (r8brain) to resample.
Then when I tried to convert back to at3 the tool in the project didn't work (can only convert 48000). But I found an older version of the same tool online that can do the opposite and convert only 44100 but not 48000 which I needed anyway.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks... I also try to do this. Don't know if i'll have more luck than you do, but i'll definitely report any results. Though i seem not to find the AddScnsToIso.exe, only the code file before compiled.

I'm also trying to replace the Zero OST with the Evolution version...

Edit: I managed to open the translated iso file with UMDGen v4.0... But i'm still not able to find the AddScnsToIso.exe... Only the file AddScnsToIso.cpp... Do i need to compile it mayself?

Edit2: Sometimes i'm blind or something... Just found the AddScnsToIso.exe in the project file pack on the github page.... BUT: my Antivir seems to detect a virus in it, even though it's from the official souce of the voice patch. Is it safe? Anyway, i was able to replace the param.sfo and the eboots with UMDGen, even though it was the english patched iso.

Don't use UMDGen. I tried that too on the translated game at first, but it actually doesn't save the changes you do if you just close it. And I remember if you create a full iso after you replace the files it becomes unplayable with PPSSPP.

Avira also deleted the files for me (looks like you are repeating about everything I did including the mistakes ^_^). It should be safe but Anti viruses detect any modifying exe as dangerous usually. Anytime you are not sure if a file is safe you can upload it in a website called virustotal and look at the results.

Ah, dammit... I thought this could be the solution. I thought the ISO didn't work because i didn't convert the voice files yet. Which is another problem: For gods sake i have no idea what to type in the command line to let the at9 tool convert the at9 files to wav and the guide at github doesn't explain anything.

I managed to decode a single file, but i have no idea how to do some kind of foreach or for loop....

Put the files and the at9 tool in the same folder and just run the tool (or a file with extension .batch that comes with the tool).

Goddammit, didn't think about making a batch file to do this...
I used this line:

mkdir wav_out

for %%f in (*.at9) do (
at9tool -d -fs 44100 "%%f" "wav_out\%%~nf.wav"
)

At first i'm gonna convert the evo ost to the PSP format and replace it as some kind of easy testrun and as something i wanted to do anyway. I just want to check if UMDGen is the culprit. I'll unpack the ISO and then pack it again with UMDGen...

Edit: I give up on it at this point... No matter what i do, i can't change files on the English prepatched ISO.

1st: Yes I remember at9tool will not work on the translated game / or an UMDGen modified iso. I don't remember which.

2nd: You are copying the command line from ppsspp forum :) but as mentioned there you cannot resample to 44100 using the tool. Just convert to wav files using the tool (I think even dragging and dropping the files at the at9tool.exe will work) then resample to 44100 with any program like r8brain before converting them again to at3 using the at3tool (as I mentioned before you may need to search for an older version online).

Yeah, i resampled the entire BGM folder (you know, i told you that i wanted to make an EVO OST mod) with r8brain yesterday, then converted the files to at3, but the game doesn't seem to recognize the files. It starts, but the game has no music lol. It seems that the music files need to be encoded in a very specific way if i want to replace them in the ISO... Or i'm just dumb. XD

Either way, i asked the guy who made the Ao no Kiseki english patch + voice patch version and he wrote this:

...For making the leaked translation work with the voice patch, we would need to:

-Have access to the scena(main story text) files in japanese. -Patch the scena with the voice patch so it would work with a japanese iso. -Replace line to line the japanese text with the english one (using an already translated scena, which we also don't have access right now) -Being able also to have access to the rest of the text of the game (notebook files, npc dialogue...) and replace them with those of a patched game.

If we could have everything above, making the voice patch wouldn't be too difficult, just tedious. I was waiting for this https://github.com/FrantzX/CrossbellTranslationTool to be updated so it works with Zero and not only Ao. This should make us be able to access the already mentioned files. Unfortunely I don't know enough programming to modify it so it can be used with Zero, or to make something similar. Mind you, this is only my point of view on the subject, I haven't tried other alternatives.

patch the psp iso then open the ISO with w.e I use poweriso, go to the Scena and Text folders and copy them to the PC version. replace. done.

I'm going to look into this... maybe the same procedure even works with the Evo port... Then the voice patch issue would be redundant.

Edit: Is it REALLY just those 2 folders? Just out of curiosity i replaced these folders of the JP PSP version with the patched version folders (also PSP) and the text ist still in Japanese.

Edit2: Wow, this really seems to be a thing...

Is there any detailed step by step guide how to do it? This version looks really good. Definitely a step up from the PSP version on PPSSPP.

Doesnt need details. its: get a patched iso or use your own and copy 2 folders from it to the pc install....idk how much more simple it can be :(

there are images and artwork n stuff that aren't translated. In battle folder Battle1.itp is the menu wheel in combat...that can be copied over but its super low res since its a psp image.
