Many of you know me and how I published methods for fixing bricked wii's and made hundreds of repairs for members of this forum. I finally feel like taking a stab at it with the wii u. I know I can easily pull it off as long as someone has valid dumps of the eMMC and NANDs.

If I fix it then yay, you get what I would otherwise charge close to $100 dollar repair for free. If I can't fix it, then what have you lost beside $20 in shipping.

With my wii repairs I had a 2 day turn around time. With this I could probably get it done in the same amount of time but I would also take an extra few days to test some other things out that I have for neat little ideas.

Yes, I could test this on my family's wii u that they are using nearly 24/7, but why take that away from my family when you already fucked yours up? :D

So if anyone out there has a bricked wii u that they would like to send me for me to test fixing at no charge then I would love it. PM me if you are interested. You will have to pay shipping both ways.

against the rules
really, this is deadlyfoez, someone who helped forward the wii scene alot and your quoting him the rules.

@DeadlyFoez , there was someone here last night who bricked their wii u by installing a ds game unsigned (not buying it) and then install cbhc to the title, his name is on the bottom of this list

It does not matter who it is the rules of the site apply to everyone and it's against site rules to bump your own thread. The rules apply for ALL not SOME

I have a Wii U that became bricked when I tried to format the system so I could sell it. It crashed during the format and now just boots to the "Deleting all content and settings" screen and then freezes. The vWii was hacked but the Wii U system was not. I sent it to nintendo for repairs but they sent it back unfixed saying that the system had been tampered with. (Dont know how they would know that if it wasn't able to be booted up, guess they have their ways.) So I have no system backup sadly. Would this be of use to you at all? I've been thinking about just selling it on ebay for parts.

Im not sure as i am likely making a huge life changing move in the next few days. Explain the situation to me.

I softmodded my two Wiis and all went fine. Then, I proceeded to do my daughter’s Wii, but when I got to the part of installing Priiloader the screen went black immediately after the install. Pushing the reset button does nothing. When I turn the system on it just boots to the black screen. I’m unsure of what to do next and I think it might be smarter for me to have someone with experience fix it (if it's fixable).

Do you have a nand backup of the system?
I charge $40 for the repair, which you can get a used wii for not much more at gamestop.
Yes, I have a nand backup. I thought about buying her another one, but I know how little this was used and figured I'd rather spend the money toward the repair.

Like I said, I charge $40 for the repair and you must pay shipping both way which is about $11 per way via USPS. You must include an SD card with the nand backup on it. It obviously has to be the nand backup from that particular wii. I have about about a 2 day turn around time and can sometimes ship it back out the same day that I get it depending on how early it arrives in the day. I accept cash or money order only, so no checks or paypal stuff. If you are still interested then send me a PM and I will give you the address.

Okay, this is going to sound dumb, but how do I PM on this?

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
