so, i understand that cfw is always better (psp, 3ds, and wii(kindof) to load backups, homebrew, and plugins. for the dsi, though why? i mean, loading nds games from the sdcard has low compatibility, at least on the 3ds, and i already have a flashcart. im excited for cfw to come to the dsi, its my favorite ds. am i missing something?

cfw is not rom loading.
if you only got cfw on all your systems in order to pirate than your doing it wrong

We have never been able to actually install unsigned apps/homebrew into the DSi Menu without CFW. You can already install official DSiWare into NAND if you have a NAND dump and can flash it to your DSi though.

right, but cfw will allow unassigned apps, which will include a rom loader which i know isnt the only reason for cfw. there are many useful plugins and tweaks. fixed my psp ghosting analog stick with joysens. i guess ill just have to wait and see what comes out when cfw for dsi is final.

My reasons:
Not needing my flashcard anymore
Still using the flashcard anyways so I can have more storage
DSiware
Homebrew that is able to use the extra power in the DSi (maybe we can get GBA emulation?)
WPA ENABLED HOMEBREW BITCHES

There's plenty of exploits. Sudoku, Four Swords, Exidia, Guitar Hero, Fieldrunners, and the upcoming Flipnote official release.
Yeah, but without flipnotehax there is no way for the average user to get a dsi exploit. It's necessary to open the DSi to a wider audience that is required to find someone willing to write a wifi lib. In addition to that the custom firmware might make debugging easier.
