Oh boy. EA now too.

In case you want possible EA games on the Switch then buy FIFA even if you don't want it. lol

“I’ve made people repeatedly, publicly aware that I’m a gigantic Nintendo fanboy. Nintendo was what got me into this industry in the first place. I take my Switch with me everywhere.”

“What I will say is, we will appear on any platform where there are consumers, and players. We believe that we want to be a part of the Switch, and help Nintendo grow that installed base; that’s why you’ll see FIFA, which by the way is really good this year. It’s a full-fledged FIFA game, for the first time to be honest, on a portable device.

But at the same time we have to look at it from a resource standpoint and, at some point, the numbers become a factor. So for us it’s about supporting the platform, building technology for the platform, testing it out with big things like FIFA – and maybe a couple of others, we’ll see – and if they go well, I see no reason why we shouldn’t have as much of our portfolio on that platform as possible. I hope we get there, that would be my personal ambition.”

I would've considered buying a Madden game for Switch. Used, at like $20. If EA is going to be so absolutist about it, though, fuck 'em. EA Sports games universally suck in one way or another, and they need to lose their licenses so better sports games have the chance to be made.

I dunno what to say, blame nintendo or blame ea? Well nintendo promised games, and they kinda are? BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS! :hateit:

Maybe if games wasn't so expensive people would buy your games even if we wasn't really wanting to play them. For all we know, the switch can sell more consoles than ps4 and xbox and still have less games to play for reasons like this. :ninja:

I would say bring back konami hyper soccer, but the internet hates konami right? Anyway, not really a soccer fan, only one soccer game i played, was River city soccer hooligans on NDS. River city ransom games and sports is the best invention ever. Maybe make NBA jam again or something, I WILL BUY THAT! O_O

Quite honestly EA can die in a fire because I won't buy their incomplete games. EA is the worst offender of them all when it comes to shipping out games at full price, but removing most of the content. Then shipping out the "Complete" version for 20$ to 30$ more for the rest of the game that they intentionally removed. This is why I refuse to support EA and why I don't care if I never see an EA game on the Switch.
Oh yeah! And their bullshit treatment of the market. They are basically saying, "If this game doesn't sell, then you get nothing!" I can see they are still salty about the Wii U.

I'm pretty sure they would stop making them if no one bought them.
Of course people buy them, there are no other options for (realistic) sports games. OTOH, I think if everybody knew they'd get a much bigger variety of sports games were they to stop buying EA Sports games for a few years, the vast majority would take that deal.

Well they could even not bother porting their games with such a low userbase. Can understand them being wary especially when people would only buy a nintendo console for exclusives (damn you N64 and Gamecube :x ).

Tell that to the vast majority of individuals who repeatedly buy these games each year.

Those people are by no means a "vast majority" however they are a sizeable group, sizeable for it to remain profitable for EA to produce such titles. I mean when they hardly have to do too much other than a few slight updates every year there wouldn't be much reason for them not to on platforms where they sell. Yes I know the odd year they do add in more significant changes but lets face it, for the average gamer who doesn't play or care about sports titles, it's "all the same year after year".

Meh, a Fifa game is not a good game to be looking at for accurate sales numbers. Seems more like they are intentionally setting it up for fail just so they don't have to develop for it later by just going "But look at these numbers!".

God this is really annoying me now. Why cant they just release the game and see how it does instead of saying crap like this? (because they want more money! that is why) They think the switch doesn't have a consumer base when it clearly does since well it is pretty much extinct everywhere (or have the restocked it? meh it doesn't matter that allotment will be gone within the next 24 hours and then my point will be valid)

And if your pull this shit EA why FIFA? people dont buy switches to play Fifa, i mean isn't Fifa more of a PS4/XI experience? i would rather have them release the upcoming Battlefront II on the switch and THEN say this.

In Europe I have heard it's easy to get a Switch most places.

Well i am from the U.K and my current town is not a place where people "game" that much but yet the Switch is still sold out here a day or two after retailers restock it. I dont now about places like London or other parts of the EU though.
