First of all I appreciate any help that can be offered. I have an original xbox that I have not used in years. I just opened it up, cleaned it out, and replaced the thermal paste. I believe the modchip that I have is a Duo X2 Cromwell/Flash BIOS edition, that is just based off what it looks like and a picture I found on another site. I am not sure because of the results I get in bioschecker (see below). What I want to do is flash the modchip with the latest BIOS, install a Seagate 200GB HDD (Part Number is 9BJ03F-305), and just have a clean install of everything. M$ Dash currently comes up when I hit the eject button to power on and a modded dash, XBMC comes up when I hit the power button. I don't have any apps, games, or saves that I am worried about losing, so if at all possible after I update the BIOS on the modchip I would like to be able to just put in the new HDD, format it, and load whatever needs to be loaded as opposed to cloning my old drive. So my questions are, does anyone know what modchip this is? What BIOS can I or should I flash? What is the best way to go about flashing them? What is the best way to do a clean upgrade of the hard drive? Thanks in advance!

When I load BIOS checker it shows:

CHIP TYPE -> AMD - Am29F080B (TSOP?)

You just can format the hdd and then copy all the stuff on it with HeXeN 2017. And for flashing the bios you can use HeXeN 2017 too and i recommend for just playing games EvoX M8+ is enough and remove the clock cap if it's still there.

Thanks DarkGabbz, I will try that now. I left the clock cap in because it is a 1.6 xbox and I read there is not as much to worry about with those, and when I looked at it, it seemed fine. Is that not true?
