The main advantage is that It's technically a much cleaner implementation

It's not really safer to install (which doesn't mean it's worse - in fact it's rather equal), but you don't need to go to 2.1 to dump the OTP anymore: in fact, you can dump it afterwards!
Sighax is also theoretically more reliable once installed (an A9LH can be killed by corruption of the kernel partitions or of the secret sector, sighax firmwares don't require the contents of the secret sector)

Upgrading is even easier, there's a dedicated chapter of 3ds.guide

Both suck a lot less than menuhax

Plus the fact that it's pretty much mandatory. Luma dropped support for a9lh a while ago, so the only way to use luma 8.1 is with b9s. On the plus side, luma now has many more cool features due to the extra access.

That's for people already on a9lh, from what I understand, the OP is not.
@OP Yes, follow plailect's guide, which is now hosted at 3ds.guide

Hi, so i decided to finally get around to doing this on both of my 2DS systems which already are on A9lh.

So i followed that guide and now i successfully have bootstrap9 on one of my 2ds'es. However, before i do the same for my main 2ds (main meaning i use it the most)

i just want to ask what this section of that guide means: "if, before updating to boot9strap, you already had an EmuNAND setup and would like to move the contents of your previous EmuNAND to your new SysNAND CFW, now is the time to follow Move EmuNAND before doing this section."

What does it mean by "previous Emunand contents?". Does it mean that by updating to boostrap9 i will loose my game saves or games?
