Hacking Transfer WBFS games to a enw Fat32 drive

Hi,

So im preparing to hack my vwii with nintendont. I have a 2TB had drive partitioned into 2 1TB segments
1 0 WBFS partition
2: Fat32

I have read that WBFS is old news and that I ideally want everything on Fat32. I dont want to lose all my wii games, so how can I saftley move all my WBFS games back to iso format to eb stored on a Fat32 Drive?

I wouldn't use WBFS manager, it's known to corrupt games on WBFS partitions. Granted that's only an issue when deleting games (it marks the wrong blocks as unused, so next time you add games with any manager, they might overwrite parts of your existing games, granted that's not an issue when just moving games from WBFS to FAT32 but I still wouldn't recommend it)

You will end up with 2 FAT32 partitions after running it, but it's near instant, and afterwards you should be able to merge the partitions with any decent partitioning tool, or failing that, it would be easy to just move the games over to the second partition (if you have enough room), delete the old partition and extend the new partition.

Once thats done do I need to put them in any type of subfolder?

The games will be .wbfs. That's the preferred format for USB loaders, actually I'm not sure they even support ISOs except for GC games.
They should be in the right folders already after conversion, though I've never done it myself so I can't say for sure.
You can convert .wbfs games to .iso easily if you want them for archival purposes but it's kind of pointless because they still aren't 1:1 rips (once they're converted to WBFS a lot of information is lost) and will likely not run when burned to a disc (not that you would ever want to but I tried this myself once, converting a .wbfs to .iso and burning it to a disc and it wouldn't load on my modchip, it just shows that the games aren't 1:1 rips)
.wbfs is all you'll ever need unless you want to burn the games to discs, TBH. Even Dolphin can load .wbfs files now.

OK, So if I understand correctly a WBFS formatted HDD is bad, but haveing a Fat32 32K formatted drive is optimal. Have a .wbfs file extension is OK then, as far as playing my wii games off of usbloader GX. Now for GC, are ISO's OK for that?

gamecube games are fine with .iso on a FAT32 partition.
be sure you name your file "game.iso" (not the game's title, not zelda.iso, but really game.iso)

read your homebrew specification. If you use nintendont, read nintendont first post which contains a guide how to name and where to place the files.

2. I read that I can have another hdd connected to my wiiu if i am using a drive with gc rips fir nintendont. Is that still true?

They will be split into parts. By the way, it's not an issue with USB Loader GX, FAT32 is just unable to hold files 4GB or larger.
You can have 2 drives but Nintendont will only read the first drive. Which, on a Wii U would be the one in the top port.

So if i use wbfs to fat they will be split? And usbloader gx wont have issues reading them? Is there a certain way i need to irganize them?

For multiple usb drives, do i have the ww/gc drive on top, then the wii u firmstted one on bittom?
