So, I was installing Killzone Mercenary using vitashell. It reached 99%, and then there was an error message which I unfortunately did not write down. The game does not appear on my homescreen. And upon checking my memory card, I now notice the 3gb is missing, which is basically the size of the game (or 99% of its size, I guess).

So... does anyone know how I can navigate to the correct directory to delete these partially installed files? And any ideas on why my installation failed (I know, I should have written the error number down. Sorry)?

Thanks guys. Deleting ux0/ptmp worked.

Unpack zip to folder, place in ux0:mai
install maidump for future , and just choose install game from folder

So, should I place the .vpk file in ux0:mai, and then use this maidump app to install it? Or are you saying I should be extracting the vpk itself?

rename vpk to zip and extract to TITLEID folder (in this case PCSA00107 for usa version)
you will have full log of what it did and what error it received (if u will get one)

If the installation goes wrong with mai,the game will be stored in /apps this time

Btw, does mai basically cut and paste the game? Let's say I have 4gb of free space and I want to install a 3gb game. With vitashell, I would need at least 6gb of free space, since I'll need to also put the vpk on my memory card. What about with mai? Does it duplicate the files during installation, or just move them?

yes it moves to app, and add entry in app.db

If you want to install it with vitashell without using double space you must press triangle on the folder (PCSA00107) and select install. Sometimes it doesnt work
