Hey guys,
i have an O3DS with CFW 11.5 Sysnand (B9S Luma) and a backup of my old 9.10 Emunand before i got my CFW.
Gateway doesn't support a firmware up to 11.5, so i would to ask you, if it's possible to boot from CFW into my old Emunand to get my gateway card to work again?
And how this should work if there is a way?

Thanks!

You could just download a .cia of that said game but for the sake of answering your question, yes, basically you can downgrade emunand to a lower version you please.

Just make an emunand and, a.) Restore your backup to the emunand, or, b.) Downgrade it by flashing a low version of ctrtransfer file.

Yeah but then I overwrite my sysnand? Can i keep my sysnand untouched and only boot into a lower emunand version?

No you won't. You will be downgrading/restoring the backup to your emunand, not sysnand. The sysnand will be completely untouched. B-)

If you have a NAND backup, just boot into GodMode9 from your Luma setup and use it to format an SD card with an EmuNAND partition, then restore your dump to that partition. Afterwards, you don't need to boot Gateway from inside that EmuNAND. You can use the procedure in the link below to boot Gateway from Luma, which will then boot your 9.1.0 EmuNAND in Gateway mode.

Just be sure to backup your SD card first, then correctly format it for Gateway EmuNAND and restore your dump to it. That's the hardest part, and it's not covered in that post. think I helped someone with it a few months ago, let me see if I can find the post.

  1. Press (Home) to bring up the action menu
  2. Select “More…”
  3. Select “SD format menu”
  4. Select "SysNAND size (full)"
These are the steps to create a Gateway-format EmuNAND in GodMode9. However, yours will be on 11.5, so you will need to restore your NAND backup afterwards. That is done by simply selecting the dump and then "Restore to EmuNAND", IIRC.
