Hacking Old 3DS XL w/boot9strap and current Luma won't boot

I have had an issue before with my 3ds with the exact issue here

I was able to fix it and update my 3ds from A9lh to boot9strap w/Godmode and the current Luma.


Recently, I was playing on my 3ds and put it into sleep mode by closing it while a .cia game was running (Smash Bros)

I then later opened it up to find out that I was at the homescreen with an error stating that it could not find the SD card or the firmware (can't remember which one it said)

It was operating slowly when I was moving around the home screen and then it eventually black screened on me.

I then turned it off and turned it back on with a blue light and a black screen.


I proceeded to turn off my 3ds again and removed my SD card and turned it back on.

The 3ds works perfectly without the SD card.


My question is, is if my SD card is corrupt (testing it right now with H2testw) or if any files may be corrupt and what should I do to bring it back to normal?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here's a photo of what my folder looks like. Would like to know what unnecessary files to delete as well.

Have you tried the latest stable Luma 8.1? You could try backing up your NAND, use a CTR-Transfer and re-install tickets? You could also try deleting home menu cache but I forgot how you do it

The problem is the SD card not the NAND.

OP, best to buy a new SD card. If you can't access the SD card in your computer you might be able to get some data off using a program like Recuva. But it would be better to start again (the files you recover could be corrupted and cause you problems later). If you can access it, try backing up the data, formatting the card, and pasting the contents back.
