how can i get cfw and such on my o3ds? i have it on 11.3.0-36 still and i have been looking up the various ways to do so but i am trying to find 1 that doesn't really require any hard modding or a bought dsiware game as an entry or so. i am current;y using soundhax as an entry as it still works since i never updated my 3ds yet.help?

You don't need hardmod or dsiware, you can just use soundhax. You are in the perfect position to mod the system.
You also don't need EmuNAND, you can have it if you want but it's not needed these days.
If you would like help modding your system I can help via discord tonight.

Dude, are you even listening to these people trying to help you? You've been told at least three times to go to the linked site and install Boot9Strap. You won't need an emunand after the fact, and you'll be able to update your 3DS. Just relax, and read what these good people are suggesting.

EDIT: Wasn't trying to come off as an ass, you just seemed a little overwhelmed with the process.

If you're having this much trouble understanding a simple instruction to follow the guide, please don't try hacking anything as you'll brick.

But if you're willing to risk it the sections of the guide you need are

https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)

https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(homebrew-launcher)

https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup

It's not that hard if you read everything rather than fixating on the hard mod/dsiware/updating, the sections follow seamlessly from one to the other.

Oh and btw you can skip past the bit that tells you to update the system(section II in the finalizing-setup), follow everything else and once you've backed up the nand you can update to 11.5 without a problem.
