Is there any evidence to support the idea that mobile phones are bad for your health?

Earlier tonight I overheard an ad on TV while watching dinner. They were advertising some product that is supposed to divert radiation from mobile phones away from your head.

I've heard rumors for years that wireless devices are bad for your health and used to believe them but then slowly, slowly concluded that it's most likely bullshit.

The ad sounded pretty convincing. It's probably just marketing but the marketing is good enough to prompt me to ask.

when someone answers
i want an explanation why can i have a circle of phones making pop corn out of corn, and if and how does that affect our "head"?

anyway, i remember that people claimed that there are studies that keeping your phone next to your male nuts for very long times, can cause serious issues
i do believe it's true, but i don't know if thoose studies are real or even conclusive

I've read about it, too. Kids are more vulnerable to radiation, that's for sure.

But there are different types of radiation and not every type is completely researched in relation to health problems yet.

Everything gives you cancer.
Basically this.
Blasting radiation right in your face probably isn't good for you in the long run, but I doubt day to day signals have any effect.
There's not nearly enough power going through that tiny phone antenna to be harmful, I'd be more worried about all the wireless signals/radio waves that are everywhere, especially in cities. But you can't really avoid those unless you live on a mountain.

There's ample evidence that radio waves can negatively affect the production of sperm if the device is right by one's crotch. The effects only apply to the sperm formed while exposed to radio waves, so merely keeping your cell phone or laptop away from the area for awhile will effectively reverse the effects.

There doesn't seem to be any evidence of any other health risks in adults.

So i got a battery power bank that says "By the state of california, we are required to inform you that the substance can give you mating problems related to the birth of babies" or something. O_O

Now cellphones are giving cancer and is bad for health? Blue lights make your vision bad? Sitting in front of a tv in the dark is not good? Everything is bad okay? Next is gonna be a new invention with tons of warnings like the Nintendo Virtual boy, it will have more warnings than bricking a wii when doing mods on it. :glare:

"With great power comes great responsibility" Yeah, now i see, a very OP device that helps us every day is to be responsible for all out health problems.:ninja:

Or we should be more responsible and use these things in moderation to prevent health issues... maybe?

Small print of most health guides for phones state never to have it next to your body, head etc and to have a gap between the device and yourself, different manufacturers state different gap sizes.

Well. Good luck with that one. "Oxidative stress is an unavoidable part of life" as said in the article I linked.

So, we die either way, rip.
We just have to fix it. so let's find some smart people to try and do it, then we can make science fiction real and lie 500 years with our 20 year old looks and health like in video games and anime. :P
