To clarify, Oot3DHax works on 11.5.0-38U, correct? Also, if I run Oot3DHax on said firmware version, will I be able to run CHMM2 on it? Will I be able to run a GBA emulator or something of the like on Oot3DHax still?

If you're using a N3DS, then you should be able to run oot3dhax with no problem. You should be able to run CHMM2, but I haven't tried it. You can try a GBA emulator like mGBA, but no GBA emulator works as well as Virtual Console injects. If I were you, I would install CFW using the DSiWare method or the hardmod method.

Emulators should work fine.
CHMM2, I'm not sure. I read that apps that need to access a target title (like JKSM) are currently broken on 11.4+, but maybe that's been fixed. And I'm not sure if the same applies to home menu extdata, but I would guess so.

I know of no one who has a 3DS or N3DS for that matter with any CFW on it. Hardmods are too risky. I feel as though I'm just gonna go with Oot3DHax for now. I feel like I'm a little afraid to install CFW on my 3DS just because I might brick my 3DS or I'll end up doing something stupid one day, resulting in a brick/ban. Will going into sleep mode still brick your 3DS like other CFW on B9S?

There's no such thing as a CFW that bricks if you go into sleep mode. You're thinking of a very narrow window of time during the A9LH installation process on version 2.1 on a downgraded N3DS. By the end of the setup process, that risk was gone because one wasn't on 2.1 anymore.

With B9S, there's no downgrade to 2.1, thus no risk of bricking in sleep mode, at any step of the process.

Awesome. Would there be any other way to install B9S other than another system or a hardmod (I don't have access to either, and as I said, I would rather not hardmod.)?

Ah, right. I forgot to ask (anyone can answer, obviously):

Will I be able to have other save files on Oot3D after I install Oot3DHax? For example, once I install the file that runs Homebrew, will I still be able to play the game on a different file, or will having another file not allow me to use Homebrew?

Noob here. How were you able to get OOT3DHax on 11.5.0-38U? I tried the latest powersaves and for me it will crash half way while launching homebrew and error out :/
