Rumor: Persona Q 2 Announcement Imminent!!

So Atlus just updated the domain name for a potential future entry to the popular and successful Persona Q that was released back in 2014 on the 3DS.

This domain is the only one that was updated out of the several that they registered back on April 20th 2017 meaning that the announcement for a potential sequel or something along those lines could be imminent. Not to mention the fact that it was updated in the wake of the upcoming Persona Super Live P-Sound Bomb!!!! 2017 concert which will take place on August 2nd.

It is important to note that Atlus did the same with Persona 5 in 2013 just before the announced that game. More evidence to this rumor being true could be the fact that Atlus did say that there would be news on future games in the persona series around the time of the Persona Super Live P-Sound Bomb!!!! 2017 concert.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it was a Nintendo exlcusive.. again. Doesn't really make sense to make a Persona game exclusive on a Nintendo console considering Persona is more known on PlayStation.
Sure, you can argue that Arena and Ultimax was also on the 360, but at least it was also on the PS3. Assuming PQ2 follows the Persona 5 cast, it'd only make sense to release it on a system that actually has Persona 5 on it.

Sure, you can argue that Arena and Ultimax was also on the 360, but at least it was also on the PS3. Assuming PQ2 follows the Persona 5 cast, it'd only make sense to release it on a system that actually has Persona 5 on it.

I know that Crystal/Lilith, it's just... Well i admit i am being a bit egotstic here and the only reason i don't want it to be a switch exclusive is so that i can play it in a forseeable future.

Even though i got a 3DS precisely for being a 3DS exclusive. So that's a double standard from me.

Well, it's not Persona 5 for Switch (whhyyyyy), but if this game does land on the console, that's still something. I enjoyed Persona Q plenty, though it's not the same as the main series. Most of all, it doesn't have the fraction of the replayability, since it's completely linear. But again - fun nonetheless, I'd consider buying a sequel.

Weakest in what sense? E.O battle system that got slapped into PQ is actually a bit more complex than the regular P3/P4 battle system.

I will try E.O. 5 just to try that battle system a bit more. I mean, aliments were actually useful in PQ!

Regarding the story, though... It is definitely the weakest among them all. I enjoyed it regardless.

I guess I disliked the gameplay? I just couldn't finish playing it. Read the manga instead. The story was alright, yeah.

Tbh i really want it on the 3ds because i really dont have the cash to buy it for my switch lol. But most likely it will be released on the switch or well that is at least what i think. I would love a release on both platforms but only time will tell. Either ways if it is released for switch then i will definitely pick it up since i adore the persona franchise.

I agree. However i am curious as to where it will fit if they decide to release it on the switch since well we do have SMT 5 coming to the switch too(i now it isnt confirmed to be SMT 5 but at this point i dont see it being anything else). By "fit" i am referring to release dates since well they sure as hell wont release both PQ2 and SMT 5 together since well it could hurt sales of both titles. But most likely PQ2 will be first.

Yeah tbh at this point i dont see any future PQ game ever being on any other system than Nintendo. i now what you mean when you say that P5 was released on Sony platforms. But i think spreading out the titles across various platforms can benefit both the console manufacturers and the game developers since well Nintendo will get more Switches sold and Atlus can introduce new people to the persona and smt franchises which in turn is a good thing for us all since it means we will get more persona titles.

Did you not like the Persona Q on the 3DS? i personally found it "different" since well it was my first ever dungeon crawler but that is what i like about Atlus since they take me out of my comfort zone when it comes to games. I personally found the game to be enjoyable but omg i hated some of the dungeons in terms of their difficulty. (i probably found it hard because it was my first dungeon crawler)

You and me both buddie. But i am curious will it just be centered around the P5 cast or will we see p3 and p4 casts return OR............. maybe even the P1 & P2 casts haha

Why not get it for the PS3? that is what i intend to do. I am in the same boat, i own a switch but not a PS4. But yeah P5 on switch would be a dream come true. Better yet how about we get Yakuza on the switch too huh sega?

As someone who didn't like PQ, I'm willing to give a sequel a chance, provided they stop with all the character flounderization. Remember how Akihiko mentioned protein once, and never again, and then that became his "haha nice jape" trait for allllllllll of Persona Q, and bits of Arena. Dungeon design irked me a bit, but that shouldn't be too hard to fix. Just the writing needs to step it up, and I'll call it a successful entry.

Haha i see. My brother had the same experience so i dont really find this surprising. Hmm personally i found the dungeon design to be more difficult than boring tbh.

There is no real evidence that it will revolve around P3 again. I think it is more likely to be related to P5 cast and universe.

Seems like the same thing just happened with Persona Dancing.
I find this much more exciting as I prefer P4DAN over PQ. I guess only time will tell what we're getting.
We will most likely be hearing about any Persona related announcements at the Persona concert in a couple of days.
