They also said DS wouldn't be a replacement of GBA (just to cover their ass in case it ended up a commercial failure)
They also said very clearly WiiU manufacturing would continue, but they changed idea next week

Of course, what I will do most likely won't be what the average market will do

Nintendo keeps saying no, but I think it is for sure. Switch will probably get revisions as time goes on as well...give it 2 years or so.

To answer OP's question, no, it's not gonna replace the 3DS and WiiU, it's only replacing the WiiU.

GameFreak doesn't make the spinoffs games.

To Nintendo "No" means yes and yes means it comes at a price for example:

Nintendo said no the switch wouldn't replace the wiiu yet it's theit main console right now.
Nintendo also said yes there would be voice chat support but the price is having to use a separate device to actually use.

That wasn't my point, my point is pokemon games exist outside of portable games. Don't really care if gamefreak makes it or not, i don't play them anymore, and no one ever said switch was a successor to 3DS, is just a hybrid console (and direct response to wii u semi-failure)

Because it's a Hybrid console. You can't play on 2 TVs together in dock mode.

I thought the Switch had good battery life? I remember playing Zelda for 4 hours...

I don't think it will replace the 3DS. They've made it clear that the Switch is a home console with home console experiences. Plus, it's really big for a handheld.
I think they're going to announce a new handheld at some point with a clamshell design. Maybe in 2018 or 2019.
I voted yes since it's a yes for Wii U and a maybe for 3DS.
