Hacking BSoD - I think I screwed up badly

Issue: System wont boot (not normal, not luma, not GM9)
Symptoms: blue LED flash slowly once when I try to power the system (regardless of buttons pressed/hold)
Reason: Replaced boot.firm on CTRNAND manually with boot.firm from root.

Sys ver: 11.4.0-37U
Luma 7.1
GM9 1.1.2 (I think)
I have recent NAND backups

I recently bought a N3DSXL with CFW on it and assumed it was running A9LH since it had Luma 7.1. It had been reset so no icons, apps or anything on the main menu.
I tried following the A9LH to B9S guide but got stuck at step 16. Instead of luma chainloader menu I got GM9 menu. Here I had a brainfreeze and thought I could copy the boot.firm from root to CTRNAND. after this the GM9 had a yellow bar on top instead of a green one (which I should have reacted to -.-) and I powered off the device. Is there anything that can be done about this? Any help is appreciated.

I think you would have to restore your NAND back up. Can you enter luma while booting?

Previously I couldn't enter the system at all. I just restored an old SD-card backup and it seemed to have resolved my issue. Now I'm just lost on what I need to do to get HBL and FBI running on it again.

I can enter the luma 7.1 config menu when holding select+power. I can select a few options in there, nothing about NAND restore though.

If you can still enter luma config, then this is only a softbrick, I think. You should put decrypt9 to luma chainloader(like press up while booting to enter dec9) and you can restore your NAND back up then.

Lmao, you didn't screw up badly.

First of all, if you are on 7.1, you are on an outdated B9S build.

Second, if there is only one payload, the chainloader does not open.

Third, luma is designed to be able to boot from CTRNAND. It likely failed because of B9S incompatibility.

Edit: There's no softbrick, so a NAND restore isn't necessary. Also, don't restore NAND backups from other systems. In case you didn't know that.

The yellow bar just means you unlocked NAND writing in GM9, nothing to worry about.
kingaz is correct. You simply need to update B9S and Luma.
