A minor nitpick but when you look at how it went so far before.

GameCube - Black
Wii - White
WiiU - Blue
Switch - ... transparent?

Red colour would have gone perfect along.

P.S. Yes, that's the size of a normal DVD case but it doesn't matter because this was just an example of how it could look like with a red case.

Yeah i 100% agree. White makes it look cheap as hell
Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft could cost down the use of plastic further more if they went with paper cases like Nintendo did for some Wii games. It's a shame that the Switch cases lack the uniqueness previous had and that PS/Xbox remain.

Crash Bandicoot: Twinsanity Xbox game case for example looks pretty amazing all in green.

Wow. That does look cool :yay:

Yeah i personally hope that they at least make the limited editions of all switch games in different colors rather than just this boring transparent white that they are currently doing for the regular versions. I mean when i buy a limited edition or masters edition of a game, i want it to feel it is worth the amount of money that i paid for it or else it just feels like i am being ripped off to some extent.

What would be even better would be if they decided to listen to fans and ensure that all games released after winter 2017 are in some different type of color like that "red" which you showed off in the OP. As well as deal with that stupid gimmick of a APP that they have set up for their online services. That app is just ridiculous and it can cause some seriously problems for the future of the Nintendo switch, especially if we see more online related games released in the future for the system.

Japanese GameCube game cases were similar to Switch cases, though a bit thicker to accommodate a memory card. The Game Boy Player startup disc uses the Japanese case variant in all regions, so if you have a GBP, you have at least one Japanese case.

I don't want them cutting down the use of plastic, it's already cut down too far with holes cut in them and stuff. It's not like they pass the savings on, just give you cheap ass cases that don't adequately protect the contents all the time.

Switch cases are in red in the uk? well most of it is!. I see what you mean, the actual transparent look of the actual case instead, ergh... tbh I say no because that would look cheap and nasty and very retro! The point of having a "transparent case" is so they can put nice pictures on the outside of the actual case and you can look at the fantastic designs from the inside when you open up the case, not just a cartridge or a silly in card ;) and that's the point of having 21st century cases these days and not going back to the dinosaur era!

That is true, but man that red case in the OP looks sexy.

I wish but no.

We’re talking about Nintendo guys...
They never listen to customers, so stop dreaming of this happening
Maybe the Chinese will make them. :P

I thought you meant the cartridge when I read the title! If they had started red then yes I'd have been happy because it does look good. I hope they don't change half way through production or just Mario games, NSMB looks so out of place in my WiiU collection...
