It doesn't look like the same game. I don't think 3D Challenge has ever been released considering that all 3D games must also be playable in 2D mode (and this one is not).
Is a mini game collection. If you search it in Japanese only appears that game and Kirby 3D.

The person who has this 3ds and I are working after years of delay to get this game from the nand backup they made. I gave them a list of instructions, so hopefully all goes well!

We are trying to either 1. Dump the game as if the console is bricked, or 2. Repair the console. We were thinking about taking the nand chip, de soldering it from the dev console and putting it on another console so we could write the nand dump to the new board but first, we are going to try the method I sent him.

You would still need to dump the OTP to get the keys. GodMode9 can run from an NTRBootHax cartridge, but it might get stuck if there's no eMMC present.

Sorry for the late response but what we are trying to do is access GM9 on the broken dev unit and then dump the rom from the nand backup they made.

Jumping around multiple threads makes it difficult to pinpoint helping you with whatever data recovery that's being attempted.
You never stated whether or not the person you're working with had the game he was developing installed on that dev unit's NAND (internal memory) or its SD card.

If it's a SD title, he/you need to clarify its name and TitleID.

For example, the game Pokemon Ultra Moon has the TitleID 00040000001B5100.
  • sdmc:/Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/title/00040000/001B5100/
  • content/
    • cmd/
      • 00000001.cmd
    • 00000000.app
    • 00000001.app
    • 00000000.tmd
  • data/
    • 00000001.sav

From one of the previous threads, you mentioned he passed you NAND images with the .IMG file extension. This is typical of (smaller) constituent nand images derived from a SysNAND *.bin image through the desktop program, ninfs.

If he gave you something called ctrnand_full.img, you can rename that to ctrnand_full.bin and mount it in GodMode9 to get the file:
  • [7:] FAT IMAGE/private/movable.sed

Once you have the movable.sed and assuming its KeyY encryption already matches with the <ID0>, you mount the Nintendo 3DS folder with ninfs using that *.sed. This will produce decrypted version of that folder. You tend copy the specific game's TMD and APP files, put those decrypted files on SD card, and then GodMode9 rebuild that game into a CIA by pressing (A) on the *.tmd → TMD file options...

I know everyone likely forgot about this project but the game has been dumped at this point in time. We even got it working on real hardware. @TurdPooCharger helped give insight on how to get GM9 running on the broken system through DMs, and @8BitWonder helped aswell. We are currently talking to a few organizations in order to make this rom public. Thanks so much!

Sorry for the wait, a few people in discord and on GBAtemp have asked me for the cia but I can't send it out yet. And I don't know when ill be able to. The person who originally made this post (Kelly) said I can only send it out when he gives me confirmation or finds the best way to distribute it. From the way everything sounds, he wants to hold onto it for a while, but once we get everything set up he'll let me send it out. To be totally clear: Id send it out if it were up to me (I don't want you guys to think im holding the game for myself or anything) but I agreed to only send it out if he allows me. If you guys have any questions about it or want any screenshots or anything, please let me know.
