Hi. I updated my Wii U to 5.5.2 because I never really used homebrew or anything of the sort and otherwise I couldn't play Smash 4 online with friends. However it all resulted in a pretty big problem.
You see, before setting up homebrew and all that stuff, I had bought Cloud, Lucas Ryu and Mewtwo as DLC characters, but once I got all the hacking stuff set up, I realized I could download every DLC character and stage, so I did it.
Now after I updated my console to 5.5.2, I tried to start up the game but it told me to remove unnecessary DLC content, which makes sense given how I downloaded the remaining characters (Bayonetta, Corrin etc) for free. However the big problem is that the DLC is a single block of memory, so if I wanted to delete the characters I downloaded illegally, I had to delete the ones I bought as well, which I did since I figured I could download them again for free since I already did so once. Buut, I couldn't. After deleting every DLC content, I was unable to re-download the ones I once bought, since according to the game "I already have them downloaded." I assume this is because when I installed the remaining DLC characters for free, the ones I had were installed too, but I already deleted every single piece of DLC content from the Wii U memory.
I wouldn't mind paying for the characters now, but I straight up can't. When I try to do so, the characters download, but once I start up the game I get the error 105-3687 and then the characters aren't in the roster.
Is there a way to fix this? It's kind of a big deal to me since I use to play Cloud and Mewtwo a lot.
