I was wondering if there is/will ever be a Software that lets the 3DS think that I inserted a Cartridge into the Console and allows me to play any Rom I have downloaded ( I was thinking about both .3ds and .nds).

If you want an actual cartridge, then there's Sky3DS.
But if you follow 3ds.guide then you can use that to play all of your 3DS ROM backups you want.

For NDS ROMS you pretty much need a flashcard.

Its not the fact that your 3ds needs a cart that causes issue. its the hardware on the cart that is necessary. for certain nds games.

Thanks but I was thinking of a way to do this without spending any money. I would consider it if the Sky3DS wasnt THAT expensive. Any other Ideas?

Yeah. 3ds.guide. It's free, as long as you have a compatible firmware.

If not, then wait for NTRBoothax which will hopefully require a flashcard that isn't that expensive.

works with ak2i. only 18-ish (USD). its also just a pretty reliable card, and the fw can be reflashed.

So what you are saying is that it's impossible?

Oh no no I already have Luma CFW on my 3ds. Thats not the issue.

Can you explain that please. Im not well informed when it comes to 3DS Firmware and Flashcards. I bought the Blue 3DS card but I dont really know how to use it. And btw. I already have Luma 3DS CFW on my 3ds installed.

If you already have Luma CFW then what exactly do you need? You can already play all the 3DS ROMS you'd want to.
Unless you mean *just* NDS noms, in which case you should just a cheap $15 flashcard and be done with it.

if you put a magnet under the abxy buttons, and boot the 3ds with that card and ntrboothax, it can recover a brick or install b9s. but, if you already have luma, its not really useful to you.

you are being very misleading.

there is no way to play straight 3DS ROMs. You have to convert them and install them.
Being a bit pedantic, no?

The same could be said for the 3DS "ROMS" too. If he wants to play a "ROM" and has a CIA, he has to convert that too.
There's no way to know what file type he has, so I think you're starting drama where there doesn't need to be, in an attempt to seem like you know something I don't.

I didnt express myself very well. I have all 3ds games I need already installed with the .cia files. I really just need a way (other than TWLoader) to play my favorite nds games. Sorry if I was misleading.

I'm sorry, you can't help me for trying to be helpful.

I was speaking about 3DS "ROMS". They are the .3ds files, or .cxi. One or the other. Now, the CIA is an archive. It is different from a ROM. So if he has ROMs, he doesn't have the CIA.
