Hey!

I posted this in another thread and 'QuantumCat' was kind enough to try and help but to no avail - I'm still stuck.
I have a New 3DS which was on 9.9, however I had an issue with Soundhax that when I went into Nintendo 3DS Sound, and then executed the 'file' the screen goes back, the text comes up and then kicks me out with no error - see attached URL.

I've also attached a pic of how the SD card looks as well, help needed please! This is driving me crazy!!!

(I did do a cart update via Pokeon Sun to 11.0.0.-26E but that's made F all difference, and I did then change the payload file to match but still nothing! The otherapp.bin is 1000% for the correct software version too)

Can anyone else help?

I have a few questions about system transfer. I preordered the N2DS XL and was hoping to transfer all my content from my N3DS XL to the N2DS XL. Will system transfer allow me to transfer content downloaded from freeShop or do I need to CTR transfer and if so, how do I restore N2DS titles so that it will be recognized properly as a N2DS XL?

You should follow https://3ds.guide to install cfw on the new 2ds. You'll be doing a system transfer in the process. You'll need to reinstall the tickets of pirated games with tikshop.

I know how to install CFW on it but what I'm asking is what is transferred over to the N2DS XL during sys transfer. So by the looks of it the games WON'T transfer over?

I think the games will be transferred because you’ll just take the SD card (with games on) from the 3DSXL and put it in the 2DSXL after the procedure is complete, but the tickets won’t, because they’re in the NAND and since you didn’t get the games from a regular eShop, they won’t be there on the 2DSXL. Thus you need Tikshop.

Don’t know how CTR transfer works, so I’m not sure if you can use that method.

Unfortunately it’s quite strange this is happening. At this point, it could be a corrupted file. Try downloading soundhax, otherapp and payloads again. Avoid download managers; use good ol’ browser.
Delete those files from the card and put the newly downloaded in:
Alternatively, you could follow the guide using an alternative hax entry point to run HBL other than soundhax.

So I have a O3DS XL that is currently on 11.5.0-38U, w/ CFW installed (following the DSiWare guide from 3ds.guide). On the other hand, I've got a NAND.bin back-up from when I still had rxTools installed (the NAND.bin back-up was created last 2015). Is it safe to use this NAND.bin as a restore point just in case since it's on a much lower firmware version? I mean, the concern I have would be that it might not be a compatible NAND.bin back-up since it's very old. Thanks in advance!

Yes you can use it. Make sure you pick the "safe" restore option in GodMode9. You also might like to make a NAND backup before you restore that one in case you want to go back.

I have just started the process of converting to Boot9Strap from A9LH, and I have an issue that I'm not sure how to deal with. My microSD (N3DSXL) is essentially corrupted, but it works without any issue in my 3DS. I found this out a while ago when inserting it into my PC and it wanted to format the drive. Essentially I can't do any copying of files to/from the SD, but all of my games are installed on it. I have FreeShop so getting the games back isn't an issue, and I have save backup, as long as i can get the files off of the card. Anyway, I was living with it because it wasnt an issue with the card in my 3DS, but now with B9S out, it has reared it's head at me. So my question is, how important is it to upgrade to B9S, and get current Luma updates? It hasn't caused any problems yet, and I upgraded the firmware to the newest ver. before I knew about B9S. I am puzzled as to what to do next, and the last thing I want to do is end up doing something that renders the card unreadabe to my 3DS and totally lose everything.
Any help greatly appreciated!!

Yes you can use it. Make sure you pick the "safe" restore option in GodMode9. You also might like to make a NAND backup before you restore that one in case you want to go back.

OK new question. I am currently copying all of my saves to my pc via JKSV. I have another microDS that is geared for A9LH, that I copied to my current SD after running out room. My question is: should I bring that SD up to date with B9S, and then copy it's contents to my corrupted (after formatting) SD, or would I be better off formatting my SD and starting from scratch?

If it supports 11.1 it will support any version. Nintendo stopped blocking DS flashcarts on 7.x. Anything that works on 7.x and higher will work on all versions.

Oh that's awesome! I downloaded the newest version from their website and placed it onto my sd card. After placing it into my system the icon changes into some sort of tennis game. And when I launch it it says error occurred restart your system. Any ideas?

I used this site to help me create Emunand like 1 year ago and it went all swell. I hadnt really used my 3ds in all that time, so I recently decided to play it again, and decided to update my Emunand because I wanted to QR code something.

Anyways I updated it, Im using rxtools btw, and it starts loading up like it normally would, with the multiple fast flashing colors, then the text in the top screen, and then quickly showing the rxtools logo in the top screen, but then the screen goes black. Ive been away for so long I have no idea whats happened. Thought I would never have to use this site again. I think I updated from 10. something. Dont remember. I have the sysNAND and emuNAND files on my desktop from those years before. I sadly didnt even think about backing both of them up again before I updated this emuNAND to whatever number update it is right now.

My sysNAND is still on 9.2 and Im able to load directly into sysNAND on startup as long as I hold some random button. Normally it would boot straight into my emuNAND. I am able on the sysNAND to go to Cubic Ninja and click the Scan QR Code to access homebrew. However when I click on the rxTools icon in homebrew, starts like its going to load, by showing the logo in the top screen, but then going back to black screen and nothing happens just like before.

Would somebody be so kind to tell me what I should do? Im totally lost and Ive forgotten basically everything

Boot into sysNAND and follow https://3ds.guide

When you get the option to "Move emuNAND" then do it. You'll get all your games and data back.

anyone have any ideas? I'm on the most recent kernel for the card and my 3ds is updated.

When I boot I get a 2k sports logo and after launching it I get a system error asking me to turn off the system.
