I am curious as to whether or not the switch could even run the game!

I mean would anyone even buy the game on the Nintendo switch over the PS4/X1? IF the game ran well that is?(i personally would since i dont own a PS4 or X1 yet)

I think if Nomura does decide to release the game on switch, then i would love to see some Nintendo exclusivity in terms of DLC (Mario in kh3? is that even allowed :rofl2:)

Idk how well it will run, have to see the PS4/Xbone versions.

I hope they re-release the KH Collections on Switch tho.

I have never finished a KH game before. i tried to play one of the KH games in the past on the PSP (it was called birth by sleep i think:unsure:) but i diddnt like it.

But like with all things, i am willing to try to get into the series via this latest upcoming entry.

And yeah I agree that Re-releases of the past KH games would be great on the switch!!

I'm okay with waiting. I'd rather they work out the more game-breaking bugs before the Nintendo release, otherwise you get something like NBA Playground that effectively requires reissuing everybody a new cartridge or game download.

I don't like this game but I know that this is a 3rd party but is it AAA game ? Curiosity. Switch deserve AAA game rather than porting from PS3 games.

I think there may have been a translation mistake. Kingdom Hearts 3 is a massively popular game with mainly adults now despite its obvious Disney approach. It is not well known with newcomers of gaming but it is surely a AAA game. If it was to come out for the switch, I'm sure it would have to be made from the ground up for maximum optimization
I personally only played the demo on my 3ds

Thank you. I hope it is not a translation mistake. It is not my cup of tea at all. Never was and not today. Anyway, I am glad that it is a AA games so Switch need that!

if it can run botw it can run kh3. kh3 doesn't have to render massive landscapes, grass, trees, mountains, towns, people and far off distance objects all at once so switch will more than handle it. as for the nvidia shield its only for android games and indys that's WHY it doesn't have a more impressive game collection :P
Again, that makes little sense. In botw, far off objects are either really low poly objects or even pictures. The Switch cant even get a stable frame rate in the korok forest. Kingdom Hearts will have better lighting, effects, and high poly models (just look at buzz light-year). By your logic, I should be able to play assassin's creed 4 on my crappy laptop because it can run Minecraft at a high render distance.
The Nvidia shield isn't limited to android games. With the hardware in it, it is capable of playing high quality games like tomb raider, doom 3, and resident evil 5.

they look high poly but they aren't it's all cell shaded. people who think the switch can't handle kh3 are just ps4/x boyz

and we'll continue this conversation in one year when it's released...on the switch

--- end of line ---

I will end my argument but will say I am not biased. There always need to be a counter argument for the best conclusion. I own a GameCube, PS3, 360, wii, PS4 and Nintendo switch. All of my favorite games on them are their exclusives. I have never stated that the switch can't handle KH3. Just that your logic is invalid.

To get back ontopic, Kingdom Hearts has an unlikely chance of being released on the switch. By the time it would release, the hype for the game would be gone and switch owners would have gotten it on a different device.

BotW is also a port requested late in development for a simultaneous release. Its design is based on Wii U's architecture and strengths, not Switch.
I realize that and it is a reason it doesn't run great but bad performance is bad performance. I had to point it out because his only evidence is botw and I have to counterclaim. And again, that logic can be turned against you. If botw will have low performance because it was a port, the same can be said with KH3. I don't want to start another argument but you people need to see different points of view.

it would run perfect like any other port would if they adapt the textures to be 1k instead of 4k and remove like a small number of unnecessary effects

I never got big into this series. I like a good RPG, and Square Enix, but I'm not huge on Disney, so it just never really enticed me. It'd be cool to see more big name 3rd party titles make it to the Switch, but on a personal level, I really don't care one way or the other in regard to this title.

But it isn't a similar scenario. KH3 is a game that was going to be multi-plat from the start, so it was designed as such (and thankfully, using UE4 makes that much easier). BotW was not until later in development, and patches to improve performance kept coming in with now only one place really having an issue vs numerous places at launch. It's still generally a game with the base designed for Wii U. The only real thing that KH3 would have to deal with on Switch is reduced visuals (but not as much as people may think). Would you say that, from what you've seen in trailers, that KH3 is CPU-intensive that it wouldn't work on Switch?

This argument can go on forever. Again, my argument is not that KH3 cannot run on the switch but that your reasons do not support that it can. I do believe if a lot of optimization is put in, it will run on the switch. I mean, people got black ops 3 to run on the xbox360 (example of extreme optimization). I will end my argument here.
