So yea i am still going to buy games. And a few years from now when they hack the switch and your able to run backups. It will most likely be downloads. Then i would see how the cat and mouse plays out then decided if i wanna download the games or keep buying them.
But as of now. Nothing has happens so idk what the hype is all about.

A lot more people than you seem to think intend on buying games. A lot of pirates still purchase at least some of their games. And on the 3ds I dumped all my carts and installed as Cia for ease of use and transportation, so yes that is a valid thing people do.
I still buy games for the 3DS, and will continue to do so.
So yes, I will buy games for the Switch too, I like to support the company and devs that give me hours of entertainment so they can make more content I will enjoy in my free time. Regarding exploits, I look forward to homebrew, editing save files, and emulation.

all console hacks lead to piracy.
some may purchase games, some may backup their games, ALOT will not <- but these cards still, make their money because it allows piracy.

I'm not really a fan of online gaming on nintendo consoles to be honest though, i stick to that on PS and xbox.
well i already bought zelda tho? thats the only game I wanted other than emulators the only games i would buy is if they add a wii emulator to the switch.

I hacked my PS3, all 50+ Games i own as physical Copy are on my internal HDD to have them fast launched without any worries about the optical drive, scratches and so on.
On Switch Side i prefer Cartridges, waiting for "Piracy" to have the current played titles on SD-Card

Buying a digital version of a game makes me feel like i got nothing for my spent money.... Feels the same as torrenting a game....
I could do like i did with the wii. buy the game leave it factory sealed and play the pirated version. No harm there since i did purchace it and i get to have a factory sealed version. If only i had a factory sealed Stadium Events for the nes. It sells got about $25,000!!!
