Homebrew Official [Release] SaveMii - Wii U/vWii savefile manager

I can't seem to get this to restore my save files of Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, or Breath of the Wild.
Same user, same system. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Tried injecting the save files with Saviine instead. All three save files were injected fine.
Phew. At least the files were okay.

Ryuzaki_MrL, how does the restore save file work? I mean, does it delete all the files in the VOL folder before copying or does it overwrite what's on the Backup folder in the SD card and leaves the rest intact?

I'm trying to use SaveMii to backup a save for a virtual console game (Advance Wars), load the file on Desmume on PC so I can use cheats to clear the levels I can't win on my own, and then transfer the save back to the WiiU.
The problem is that the game keeps loading the save state so all the progress from the save is discarded.

With Saviine, I dump the file, cheat on the emulator, and then, before injecting, I remove the .STATE file. Since Saviine deletes everything before restoring, the save state is no longer loaded so the game loads from the .SAVE file.
I did the same thing with SaveMii: deleted the .STATE file and kept only .CONFIG and .SAVE but, as I said, the game keep reding from the save state.

Could you add an option to clear the VOL folder for the game before restoring?

Hi @Ryuzaki_MrL , I'm Brazilian too ^^ and I'm having trouble with SaveMii. It is possible transfer a save from one user to another user? I'm trying to transfer a Breath of the Wild save from my American account to my Canadian account, but it did not work.

Well I've hacked my friend's Wii U yesterday and we tried sharing our save files using SaveMii, it did not work, it basically corrupts the save data and the game refuses to load, we needed to delete the save data. From what I could conclude, this program is meant to backup data without backing the entire installed games, which can be practical indeed, but if you need to format your Wii U or transfer to another console because your original broke, this tool will not do the job because it relies on your Wii U user who create that save file in the first place.

The backup made has nothing to do with the user, it's just that restoring the save isn't working properly.
Using savemii for backup and saviine for restore should work for now.

Having a bit of a problem restoring an edited save on BotW. I tried to inject the save but when I go in game nothing seems changed at all (I added the Hylian Shield to my shield list and Epona but nothing shows up when I inject the edited save back in.)

Not sure what's going on. Any ideas?

Use Saviine to inject your save back up. SaveMii still have some kinks to iron out.

I can't get Saviine to work. I installed it on my Wii U but when I load up BotW, it just goes into the game with no popup for dumping or restoring saves

Sure. With Saviine.
Dump it, change the user folder's name to 8000000x of the new user (replace x) and inject it.

Some of my games are missing from the save file list, looks like it's all the ones that are physical copies (possibly others but definitely all of those). I'm using Haxchi with Mocha via HBC (which fixed the black screen problem). Any ideas?

-got Savemii working under haxchi (At least under CBHC since that is what I have)
-got file restoring (even when files didn't exist) working (Tested in Zelda BotW, Smash and Mario Kart8)

Need for people to test on other WiiUs and games.

Mod 2 worked under Haxchi but none of them recognise disc saves, I'll try Mod 3 when I get back from a wedding.

Can you clarify what a disc save is? Saves are universal, whether they are a channel or a disc.

On the list of detected WiiU saves there are games missing, every game that requires a retail disc is missing (there may be others but I don't think so). Having turned MK8 into a an installed game via disc2app and wupinstaller its save is detected, though I had loaded it and then had an autosave before I tried using savemii so I don't know at what point that changed, again I'll check when I get back. This happens with every version of savemii I've used.
