Hey Everyone. I was hoping someone to help me out with what I am trying to do. I am want to get basic cheating functionality on my WiiU, with as minimal modding as possible (even if its a temporary solution).
  • The biggest goal is to be able to get a few basic cheats for Hyrule Warriors 1.12 (Disk). Specifically Max Rupees and 999 Materials. Possibly using a trainer?
  • I have no interest in playing backed up games at this point so I dont want to go through all the steps of uploading Homebrew software/rewriting system software if I dont have to
  • I dont want to compromise the integrity of the system as my wife and son still play online (i.e Splatoon) and we would like to continue to use the eShop and download game updates.
  • The system software is up to date and I have a PC on the same, internet-accessible network as the console.
I successfully modded my original Wii back in the day and I am pretty comfortable with computers. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

From what I know, you can use TCPGecko for cheats, but is not no game genie or action replay, is you actually knowing a address and what value you wish to change I.E. Like cheat engine, unless a trainer exist, that the best you can do. There is no stand alone cheat app for the system like WIIRD ocarina codes or Action replay.
