Hello,

I apologize in advance if I say something outside of the terms and conditions. Also, my understanding of emulators and homebrew programs is at a beginner level.

About a month ago, I tried to restore my NAND to a version before my first EmuNAND (RXTools). I formatted the 3DS first, then (using GodMode9) I restored my old NAND. What I thought would be an easy way to clean my 3DS of all the modding completely backfired.

I tried booting up the system only to find that it wouldn't power on. The only part of the 3ds that was showing signs of life was the power button and even then it was only for a second. I had experienced this before when I was missing a file. So, thinking that was the issue, I tried using an old backup of my SD card on the 3ds and it didn't work. I tried several more backups that night but nothing worked. I looked online for other solutions but did not find anything I thought was related. Eventually, I gave up because I thought I had bricked my system.

Flash-forward to the present, I am attempting to fix it once again. Before the restore I was on SigHax, so I am starting to wonder if SigHax is clashing with the NAND version I reverted to. Is there a file on the SD card that SigHax needs in order to run? Or did I brick my 3DS because of my own stupidity?

Not sure if this helps but I was on Luma before SigHax.

Sighax and Luma are two different things, did you actually use Sighax or Boot9Strap?

Either way download Luma 8.1 and place the boot.firm file in the root of your SD card and see if it boots.

You're not bricked, just missing a file.

It looks like I used Boot9Strap. It has been too long since I have touched it so I am having to go off of what my SD card has on it.

Thank you. I'll try this right away.

I placed the file at the root of the SD card and it did not boot. Maybe I am missing a different file. I was on Luma 7.1 so I'll try using that boot.firm file next.

If it doesn't work, try downloading Luma 7.1 again as you might have the first version of boot9strap which is only compatible with 7.1
