Hi. Currently I'm having a problem with the game Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, the infamous saving problem.
Reading on the nets, I've been told that you can save it by using the latest cheats database, of which link is always down (cheats.gbatemp.net), so I can't get it.
How can I fix this issue? Is it really solved by the cheats database, or is there another workaround?

I'm using the R4i RTS 3DS WiFi flashcart (v. 1.84b, latest from R4i-SDHC.com), on a Nintendo DSi. Help?

Okay, after updating the usrcheats.dat, I got in the cheats menu Backup Enabler/Game Fix Code cheat. I enabled it, and it still didn't worked. Do I have to use any key combination or what?

usually the name of the cheat there is the comment\description saying if you require some key..
if you have the cheats enabled i do think it's all you needed...
some carts got a "global cheat enable or disable" option, you must activate that as well.
i don't own an r4 so i can't really tell you much

anyway i would try to search for a game hack\patch to fix that issue without recurring to cheats

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive

    How are you doing?

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
