It appears that Platinum's new Japanese twitter account has tweeted the above images in the famous neon Joycon colors of neon red and blue. Could it be a potential tease for the fan favorite Bayonetta series to release on the Nintendo Switch? With the Bayonetta creator recently announcing that he does indeed have plans for Bayonetta 3 it would make perfect sense for Platinum games to re-release the first two games on the switch so the fans can enjoy the whole trilogy!

I've watched my friend play Bayonetta 2 & it looked pretty fun. If they do release #3 I'd wait until the price on it drops before I buy it. $40 would work for me.

Don't buy it.

In normal circumstances, ports are rather ho-hum, however this has three mitigating factors:
1) The Wii U was not a widely owned console, so many people missed out on its games the first go around.
2) Bayonetta 1 was only available in limited quantities for the Wii U
3) The Switch is not merely the next Nintendo home console, but brings the added utility of being portable. Bayonetta was not available on-the-go in its original form.

Limited quantities? It's available to pick up in any game store around here, there's an abundance of copies. I also don't buy the "the Wii U didn't sell well so this makes sense" excuse - Bayonetta is a niche game as it is and the people interested in it align with people who need to have every console and a fidget spinner or they'll scream, so whoever wanted to play it already has. It doesn't bother me, I don't mind re-releases, however I'll always prefer a sequel over a port.

It will be a enhanced version of bayonetta 1 + 2 higher resolution and better FPS also will be a double pack edition more than likely

Actually the original japanese release of the game only had the english dub, only until the wii u port of bayonetta 1 did it recieve a japanese dub using the japanese voice actors who provided their voices for the japanese dub for bayonneta bloody fate (the animated movie). The english voices are the original dub in this case.

People don't think all these WiiU ports will get in the way of developing actual new games but they will. We could be getting Bayonetta 3 but instead we're getting Bayonetta 1 and 2.

PS4 suffered from the same syndrome but they eventually got back to normal but this is Nintendo so I don't have high hopes things will ever get much better.

The difference is that Sony eventually balanced things out with releasing new games and having strong third party support, Nintendo on the other hand says they have third party support but that's yet to be seen for sure.

Bandai made Switch gamers beg to have FighterZ on the Switch and yet they've not announced anything.

nope, thats never been the case. also, platinum has multiple dev teams and it doesnt take the original one to port a game

Porting doesn't but making it run as it should does. You want to believe that the re-release of B1+2 won't affect B3 when it will.
