Hardware New 3ds xl black screen of death

hi all,

I have a common black screen of death problem on a new 3ds xl.
The New 3ds xl was not modded before and was broken into two (TOP and bottom screen separated) because it was dropped. Now it boots up with blue light and charging light but no wifi light
Does anyone have any solutions?

Your best bet is to call Nintendo, but even if you are under warranty it's still gonna cost money for a repair. You could get a used 3DS as well and get a data transfer.

Geez, 3ds's are generally durable. How hard did you have to drop the thing to separate the top screen. Does the bottom screen still work? Does it boot up at all?

It's just a blue with no screens and no backlight so I'm not too sure what happened.

I think the reason that it doesn't work is that you separated the top and bottom halfs of your 3ds. I know that the old 3ds doesn't boot if the top screen isn't connected, you might want to just sell yours and buy another
