Hacking (Old) Nintendo 2DS - What to pay attention? (FW etc)

Hello,

today I've sold my NN3DS to get myself a 2DS. Ergonomically that device is very nice and the "nostalgia" Gameboy feeling comes up even more.

My question is, to "install my backups" on the device, on what version should it max be? I remember (- 1 year ago) on my NN3DS it had to be at max 10.4 or 10.7, I don't know because above that nintendo patched that signature thing to install unsigned stuff. Did it change?

It can be at 11.3 and you'll still be able to hack it, and install your "backups"...

Do you think a 64GB Samsung Evo would be enough? Or should I rather get a 128GB? At our "MediaMarkt" (big tech supplier here in Germany) they have a discount on outlet SD cards. 64GB would be 6€, 128GB 22€

No prob, and a 64GB card should be enough for you. You can always switch to a bigger size later if needed anyways so it isn't that big of a deal, but I don't think you'll need it unless you're developing homebrew or something...
P.S. Make sure it is a Class10 or UHS-1 card, so you can have a system that loads quickly... Though getting a UHS-2 or UHS-3 card might be considered overkill, unless you really need the two seconds it will shave off XD

Haha thanks. Sorry for bothering you, but I've another question. On my retailer I see that they offer the new 3DS XL in pearl white for 120 bucks. Should I instead get that? And yea, I've read that the 3DS has some issues with 128GB Cards

Yes, get that one instead. It's cheaper than the New Nintendo 2DS. That's another reason just to get a 64GB card; plus, you're probably never going to use all of it anyways...

I doubt that our biggest supplier (MediaMarkt) is selling fake stuff

But sure, I will test it as always.

It has IPS Panel and 11.0. Im so happy right now thanks to your help I will be even more
