Will there be an offline or even online Demo for this game prior to its release?
It's a fifty fifty chance that we get another splatfire (or whatever it's called) announced during the direct imo, because we already got one in March. However, arms got one last second a week or two before launch. I'm hoping so, I really enjoyed the original test fire back in March and it convinced me to pre order Splatoon 2.

What is this the 4th Splatoon 2 direct? They don't need to nail their stupid gameplay decisions into my head anymore.

Salmon Run is only available to play sometimes like splatfests, still forced to play the same 2 maps for hours on end instead of just voting, no local salmon run, and other poor online and offline structure decisions. Don't worry Nintendo, I dont need anymore convincing, I'm not buying it.

haha yeah. i got my switch in late may too! so i now how you feel! I really just wanna see what all this "splatoon love" is all about. plus i find the whole premise of matches unique.

Yeah i am hoping that they hold another testfire since hopefully it will interest me enough to pick up the game for switch.

Hey, we have that Mario x rabbids direct to look forward to whenever it happens (at least it very likely will happen)... That's exciting, right guys?
you know what would be exciting
Am I hoping to hard for them to have smash announcer say at the end "and time for another announcement...on (insert date here)"

...sigh, likely not gonna happen
a smash direct, but it will likely not happen :(

That looks too repetitive with the same enemies, imo. If only Ubisoft would release a demo on the eShop then maybe it'd make me want to pre-order it.

Boring ass time to own a Switch.
Not really, GoNNER is good for a hundred hours or so on its own. Great portable game. Now we need Dead Cells and Nex Machina.

I am actually pretty hype for that one. It's like XCOM-lite, but with a bigger focus on weapon variation. The movement abilities are cool and the game doesn't waste your time with overly-long animations. Naturally, I hope for a hard mode.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

    How are you doing?

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
