I am still learning Japanese and my previous girlfriend is from there, but while it might be nice to combine the two for more effective learning it's also rather scummy to get a girlfriend just to learn their language. Better to just learn the language on your own and if you do happen to end up with a girlfriend from there that you like then you might improve a little faster.
