hey guys my problem is a long one , and i am not a native english speaker nor an expert in hacking anything really so excuse me for any foolish mistakes.
Anyway , the thing is that i hacked using this tutorial (https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)) my original 3ds xl while it was 11.3 and for some reason i updated the system to 11.4 , and everything went fine i even got freeshop , then i realised that my 4 gb sd card wasn't big enough so i bought a 16 gb sd micro sd card with an adapter and copied every file from the 4 gb sd card to my computer then t the 16 gb , and when i tried to do that it would say that there are corrupted and unreadable files , i tried many things such as formatting the new sd card to FAT32 but nothing happened , and when i tried to boot the 3ds up with the new sd card it wouldn't boot , and then i started acting stupidly and thought that cutting the files would be a better idea, now i am stuck with the something weird , the old 4gb sd card which had the hacking files on it now is treated as a 16 gb sd card that has nothing on it , and the 3ds is not booting with the new one
I am ready to accept all and every help you've got , i am stupid i know , i made alot of mistakes obviously, but now i need help.

You just need to put the latest boot.firm from Luma3DS on the SD card https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases
That is assuming you have Boot9Strap 1.2. If you have A9LH then follow https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s (just rename SafeB9SInstaller.bin to arm9loaderhax.bin and put on root of SD instead of chainloading it through Luma) and if you have B9S 1.0 then use Luma 7.1 instead (not sure about 1.1 though) then follow https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s.html
16GB isn't big enough either, by the way :P
64GB is the perfect size IMO. 32GB works too but it's not enough to fit every must-have game.

There's no obvious way to check your B9S version, but if Luma 7.1 boots then you are either on B9S 1.0 or 1.1. If Luma 8.0+ boots, then you are on B9S 1.2.
it doesn't boot now and i don't remember which luma boots , what should i do ? (sorry for asking too much)

Follow https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s.html anyway, it should get Luma working again.

Are you trying the 4GB or the 16GB card? Try both with boot.firm placed on them to rule out any SD card issues, also make sure they're both FAT32 formatted as ExFAT won't work (Windows uses FAT32 by default for cards 32GB or smaller, so they are probably FAT32, just making sure)

the problem now that the 4gb is being treated on the 3ds as a 16gb sd card with nothing on it

" What you really have to delete is Nintendo 3DS/<random stuff>/<more random stuff>/extdata/00000000/000002cc, 000002cd or 000002ce(Depending on if your system is JPN, US or EUR) "
i tried this and when i try to boot the 3ds with the 4gb sd card in it it doesn't boot but when i boot it without the sd card and then insert it i have evreything back but nothing works and it keep shutting down and it's still treated as a 16 gb
what now ? :(

okay somehow it worked now , what i have done is that i deleted the files i talked about in the last reply and i booted the 3ds without the 4 gb sd card and then inserted it and updated luma and now evreything works fine , but the weird thing is that the 3ds says that the 4gb sd card is 16gb
anyway , do you think there is something more to do ?

what i am really concerned about that is there any chance of getting banned or bricking the system because of this weird thing with the sd card size ?

also 16gb
then your sd needs to be fixed . . . backup the contents and run sd formatter then restore your sd contents

no but you will run into issues (installing apps/games/ect) as your 3ds wont know when the sd is truly full

okay i will do that , but since you're here and you seem to know what you are doing could you help me with the sd card upgrading process because copying everything from the 4 gb sd card to the 16 gb didn't seem to work

the way you attempted is correct try running the sd formatter on the 16gb card before you copy the contents of the 4gb to it

okay i will try that
thank you very much
honestly from your first post it sounds like your problem is/was a physical one at its root let me explain what i think happened
some data was corrupted when copying likely due to the sd card not being completely inserted (maybe bumped during the process) and/or a dirty sd slot (or even fingerprints on the sd contact points)
so from here just make sure its clean and properly inserted

hey , I've tried formatting the 4 gb sd card and everything went fine and it's now recognized as it is , but when i copied everything to the 16 gb , i faced the same problem of the unreadable files and then i copied those files separately , and when i booted the 3ds it doesn't boot with the card inserted but when i insert it after it boors everything pops but when i enter anything this what i see : "an error occurred " "error type : card removed "
is this a problem with the sd card itself ?
