And let's get things rolling with another session of KYG, this one is on Persona 4 with @Red9419, you know the drill, so if you have questions, fire away.

Rules and Info.

interviews are open for good, no need to answer after one week if you don't want to, though.
these are done in the same fashion as KYT . the public asks the questions . the questionee answers.

You may ask questions about the game . the persons experiences with the game . and generally topics relating to said game .

Favorite character out of them all?
Naoto of course!
How come I spent so many hours in and still haven't finished the game? Should I undust my Vita and keep going?
Definitely keep going! The game reaches a point that sucks you back in until you finish it. Unless you're already there and found it boring :(

Saddest part of the game?
Bonus points for tear jerkers :-)
Without giving any spoilers, something happens to a certain character. That actually got me. You'll also be sad once you finish the game, but maybe the countless spin offs will fill the void.

Erm...I've heard of this series as it being good, but all I heard is from people who already know it talking to other people. As such, I don't really know how to phrase the question without it potentially coming over as dissing it. So lemme just stress that I don't intent to disregard anyone's choice of games, even if those may be different than mine (if that is the case...I've never played them). Here goes...

What's the appeal to these games?
I mean...as far as I can find, these mix roleplaying as (a) Japanese student(s) and classic RPG (erm...turn based combat, I guess?). And it's supposed to be good. But...why?

Now...I'll happily agree that I'm not a fan of roleplaying a realistic setting, and even less of turn based combat. But even when that taken into account: I can get why fans like either...but why the combination? What is it that makes a persona game what it is? What's the main motivation to play it?

Holy shit.

I'm playing this game now for the first time, completely blind (no looking online for spoilers). I just beat Shadow Kenji, and I'm waiting for the next victim so I have a new dungeon to go through.

Figured this game was old enough that I wasn't going to see something like this come up.

Why can't I get into P4 despite loving P3P and replaying it over 4 times?
Would you say Golden is better than the original PS2 version?

When I first played Persona I wasn't exactly fond of the idea of going to school in the game. Later on the game it acts as a sort of obstacle. You are usually faced with time sensitive objectives, so you'll need good time management.
The Persona series is heavily story based. I'd assume most people continue on with the game for the plot and fun battles. That's at least what I'm interested in.
Favourite Mechanics that were introduced in 4?
Favourite Persona?
Favourite Music Track?
Favourite Dungeon?
That's a tough one. I really enjoy them all, but I'd say Persona 3 is really up there.
In Persona 4, my favorite track would have to be either Heaven or a certain version of I'll Face Myself that's exclusive to Golden.
Not sure if it's a spoiler (better safe than sorry), but my favorite dungeon would have to be the one that plays the song Heaven :^).
Should i get the plat trophy? I finished the game like 5 times xD
Best P4 waifu?
I'd say go for it. Good luck with the Rise trophy!

Golden has more content than the PS2 version, so i'd say it is better. (btw New Chie> Old Chie)

what's the best Persona / ability combo ?
the worst persona in the game ?
toughest boss ?
on a scale of 1 / 10, how satisfying was the final boss ?
Not sure about the best Persona stats wise, but I liked my Black Frost with Enduring Soul and Rise at max SL so it gives me 2 extra lives.
Worst Persona would be Mara haha? I don't really know.
Toughest boss for me was actually Kunino-sagiri since I was incredibly under leveled.
Final boss did add a nice twist. The flashback from the beginning of the game was cool. I'd give it a 9/10
