I bought a bunch of PSOne Classics on sale, downloaded them to my PSP, and copied the files to my computer.
Does anyone know of any way that I could emulate these on my phone? PPSSPP doesn't work with them and ePSXe doesn't either, from what I can tell.

perhaps find a way to extract the original game file that you would use in for a ps1 emu and use that, not sure if it's possible. although the only issue with epsxe for me is how you can't config controller inout as far as I know and so I can't set it up so I can use the joy cons from my switch

Well yeah, that is kinda true. I like em both, but I will rather use a psp or vita than phone/tablet/fablet
It's not that bad, the only issue is that I have a bit of trouble configuring the controls, I use 2 joy cons(the left and the right ones of course) but it acts as if the circle pad for one is the same as the other and so controls over lap, I could just use a single joycon but dual in the grip feels better(although I could probably do this easier with a switch pro controller if I had one)

Also wish EPSXE was free. Why is the pc port free but have to pay for android? is also closed source which is probably why some people don't recommend it unlike PCSX or mednafen on retroarch. I been using epsxe for years and it work well for me, but just somethings i don't understand. EVEN PPSSPP is free, and has a gold option if you choose to support the project, it was least thoughtful.

I finally got it working. It turns out that ePSXe can't read official store EBOOT files because they're encrypted. I had to decrypt them with PSXtract before they could be loaded in the emulator.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

but one question, how do you extract the game from the eboot file, just curious

although tbh the only sony system I have is a ps1, although I have it shelved and have been just playing castlevania sympony of the night on my wii instead since I can't find my memory card

if you wanna extract the ISO from the eboot for use on another system like a phone, or emulator, http://wololo.net/downloads/index.php/download/8163 Popstation GUI can do it
