Hey guys i have this motherboard, which i was trying to HardMod (8 months ago), which failed and a part of it was damaged. The white clip which is used to hold the flex cable is gone and the pins are also little bit damaged so i am no longer able to put flex cable in it and it is no longer usable.

(i bought a replacement motherboard and now my N3DS is working fine)
(and yeah i, myself did not tried to do the hardmod i gave it to an electronics mechanic, which he then damaged 'that' part) .

so i was wondering is there anything that i can do with this motherboard????

(motherboard is not banned and it used to work good before 'that' part was damaged)

how to do that.
the flex cable part is so small and there are lot of tiny pins i dont think that it's possible to do it with hands
Duh, sorry bout that.

What i mean't

you could get some wires like a flat ribbon cable

And then solder directly, board to board, you are also going to want to remove the slots.

I hope this makes sense

Sell it to someone who is able to replace the part, I wouldn't be expecting much for it though, the effort of removing the old one and installing a new connector and the risk that something goes wrong during the process or that there is more stuff damaged on the board would mean I doubt many people would be willing to spend more than a bit of spare change on it as a little side project

Nothing I want to deal with, for whatever reason, both side of the connector need to be soldered, it's a pain in the ass and you really can't tell wtf your doing with it.

so i guess i should just throw it away, if it can be of no use cuz i dont think anybody can repair it without using specialized machines for soldering these mini part's....
