After a little thought, Junpei decided that she had to be nervous about being
locked up in such a small space alone with a boy.

In a way, it was kinda cute. Very...demure, you could say, he thought.
Still, even though it wasn't exactly roomy in the elevator, they weren't going
to be pressed up against one another. At least, they didn't have to be--
Still, it was making her nervous. Junpei couldn't help but think how innocent
she was...

Junpei: C'mon, let's go.

Again, he stepped toward the elevator--And again, he felt himself restrained.

June: I said wait a minute!

Junpei: Why?!

June: Aren't you afraid, Jumpy?

Junpei: Afraid of what?!

June: Well, I've never...you know...

She'd never been in an elevator with a man alone before?
Even so, she still seemed awfully alarmed...
June: I might...get wet.

Junpei: Wh-What?!

June: Down there... I'd get soaking wet...

Junpei: W-Well, I mean, of course you would, that's the way it works.

Junpei: I mean, I've never heard of anyone getting soaking wet...somewhere...else...

June: That's...that's true...

Junpei: ...

June: You...don't mind?

Junpei: Mind what?

June: Getting...wet...

Junpei: W-Well, I dunno, I think I'd probably... You know...like it.

June: Gosh, Jumpy! You're so brave!

Junpei: ...Really? I mean, I kinda think any guy would do the same thing, you know? What happens, happens, right? If you get the chance, you've just gotta go for it. That's what a man's supposed to do, I guess.

June: Y-You're so cool, Jumpy! I really admire you!

Junpei: Uh, that...doesn't really seem like the sort of thing you oughta admire someone for...

June: I'm...I'm really scared...

Junpei: Y-Yeah... I mean, like you said, you've never...done it...before...

June: Yes...

June: So I don't think I'll be able to last very long, and then it'll be...over...

Junpei: ...O-Over...?

June: Yes. I'll go to heaven...

Junpei: ...Heaven...?

June: It feels kind of like you're floating in space, and your mind gets all fuzzy, like when you pass out... At least, that's what I've heard from people who have experienced it...

Junpei: A-Ah, yes, I've heard that too. Although I don't think the same thing happens to guys.

June: ...What?

Junpei: ...Huh?

June: But, it would happen to men too, wouldn't it? It would happen to anyone. Once it gets into your body, the same thing happens to everyone.

Junpei: ...Well...I mean... Usually it doesn't...go inside...the man... I mean, generally...

June: Yes, it does. Well, eventually it will. It's not like you really have a choice... Your body will force you to swallow some of it, eventually...

Junpei: Wh-What are you trying to do to me...?

June: Nothing... I'm not going to do anything to you. I'm just saying that that's what happens. It's a psychological reaction to what you're experiencing...

Was...was that really how it happened? It occurred to Junpei that perhaps that was how it worked... Perhaps he'd been mistaken all these years. Had he misunderstood life so gravely? The thought terrified him.

June seemed to be entirely oblivious to Junpei's mounting confusion and terror.

June: I know most men probably have larger lungs, but... Even then, I don't think you could hold your breath for 20, or even 10,
minutes. Eventually, you'd have to breathe, and then the water would get into your lungs... Once that happens, your body won't be able to get oxygen anymore, and you'll start to feel that floaty feeling as you pass out...

Junpei: ...

June: ...

Junpei: ...

June: ...

Junpei: Ha ha... Ha ha ha ha... Ahahahahahaha!

A few months ago when the first DLC for Dark Souls 3 came, I encountered some interesting rag doll physics. I was playing with my older brother, we fought some wolves and then... some weird stuff happened. here are some photos.

I have to get this game. BlazBlue is the name of the game, or what?
it's a fighting game series, it's called BlazBlue...and there's a reason it's one of the best, start with Calamity Trigger, then play the others, you'll understand the story and know the characters better that way.

Thanks. We can discuss on my or your Discord server, if you want.

I assume Calamity Trigger is the first game? Or the prelude to one?

I didn't screenshot it but the last situation I recall was when playing red alert 2. At one mission, you've got Tanya and a few spies attempting to reach some objective. If you go off the path a bit, you have this semi-sidequest where you can free a couple cows from the barn by blowing up some barrels. And for some reason, you can control those cows. And since they're not considered enemies by the AI, I just used them to scout the enemy base and block the entrance. :P

Oh my god I loved that scene. I laughed out loud for a full minute with everybody in the train staring at me in annoyance. Funniest, best scene in any video game, ever!
Seriously? I sort of remember that scene and while it fleshed out the characters a bit, I thought it was more a puberal kind of humor. I mean...doesn't every sitcom on the planet has this sort of conversation where one (usually the male) assumes something sexual and the entire conversation throws off every (to be misunderstood) euphemism that the other person OBVIOUSLY doesn't get while the first person almost dies of embarrasment. It usually involves things getting wet or hard. I dunno...perhaps I've outgrown that phase...perhaps it's Japanese beating that drum a bit TOO much (try out series like chobits...or worse: Golden boy...it's pretty much their main 'thing'). But it was more a 'meh' to me.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
