Hacking Does Wii U Factory Reset Reset the Wii Partition Too?

Hello

I would like to factory reset my Wii U but do not want to do it if it means I will lose the softmod on the Original Wii and have to go through setting all that up again.
Does anyone know if resetting the Wii U affects the Wii part of the console?

Yes, after "formatting" the Wii U mode, it actually boots Vwii to do the same

Of course, any system titles will stay installed (patched ios, cios, wuphax if you still have it injected into mii channel)

Nope, it will still remain hacked but without HBC present afaik

Correct, the only "brick after format" on Wii were if you were already semibricked or maybe with some versions of Preloader (even then you could reinstall the launcher, and of course there's no preloader for Vwii)

And nothing prevents building the HBC as a system title, now that it's open source, actually :3
