Flashing corrupted MLC is not a good idea. In the worst case, it might not even boot at all.
Just grab 64GB SDCard or remove some games from NAND partition. The more you have, the more space MLC dump will take.
Wrong. The MLC dump is always the same size.

Today i did. With the 64GB no problems.

But i have to say that there are a few things to prepare/think about.

A SD card that ist bigger than 32 GB have to be formatted to fat 32. What is not so easy.
The right tools or partition manager are necessary.
My SD card reader didn't recognize my card. It's a old one.
I had to switch to a newer SD card reader.
So if somebody buy a card, think about the right card reader

I can't get this to work. Every time I press a to start dumping, it goes to the Wii U logo, then for a split second I see a black screen with white text (I can't read anything before it goes away) and I'm kicked back to the system menu. I'm using a 64gb microsd card in an adapter, and it is 99% empty. I used the old browser hack to access the HBL, and I'm not on the latest firmware if any of that matters.

It is. I had to update to 5.5.1. Though I still had to swap cards as it gave me an error about the first partition not being fat32. I checked it with a partition tool and it only had 1 fat32 partition. Go figure.

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

I'm getting the same error on a 64 GB microsd in an sd adapter. Text states first partition is not FAT32. I checked the partition in Windows (Disk Management), and there's only one FAT32 partition. I'll attempt to get another 64 GB card and try again.

Just to be clear, there's absolutely no way to squeeze the MLC on a 32gb card? I tried just grabbing it separate from everything else on an empty card and I still got a corrupt piece... Even though it went on to do part 14 just fine, 13 is corrupt.

Unless this Wii U is just weird and whatever files are in part 13 are broke. Which might explain the stuttering issues from before I modded it... But I somehow doubt that.

Since it's already being broken into pieces shouldn't it be possible to put it on multiple cards or something? I mean the app obviously doesn't do that right now but still...

I'm just spitballing but I feel like it'd be possible to splice out unimportant data and add it in later. It's copying the free storage, so if that was just set to zeros when you reassembled it it wouldn't really effect anything. The issue would be figuring out what is what... And dumping a stock Wii U would tell you that.

This is a complete dumping/backuping too. It allows you to dump the NANDs, OTP and SEEPROM, per your selection.

This is the first tool to dump the SLC and SLCCMPT properly, including the ECC the spare data. Other tools are missing those parts, so they aren't proper backups, and can't be flashed back with hardmod. (But it can be fixed with the OTP and the tools that I released)

This homebrew dumps those things to the root of the SD, so make sure to have enough free space for your selection.
Options:
Dump SLC (full and proper dump)
Dump SLCCMPT (full and proper dump)
Dump MLC
Dump OTP
Dump SEEPROM

Big credit to @dimok. This tool is based on his Mocha CFW, seeprom2sd and otp2sd.
Can i please ask how we run this? Thanks

Hello,
Well just a question, does nand dumper verify the files that it created because i tried 2 times to backup my 32go nand...(2x2h30 of backup) all is ok but when i try to copy it after on my pc, there is always a mlc part with read error (can't copy); sometimes it's part9 , after it's part2; that's incredible... i'll do a third try later... can i just get the bad part (if the console memory hasn't changed between the 2 try?)

Edit: The 3rd try was the good i successfully copied the 16 files of the nand on my pc.

Thanks

Well, verify that you just send the browser exploit and the nand dumper after just click load and wait until the wii u reboot! (3h max) (no need of mocha!)

Hi

I'm looking to verify my NAND Dump as after the tool finishes it appears to have exited and I just see the WiiU Menu.
(It would be cool if it could pause after the dump finishes so I could see if there any errors)

Will nandBinCheck.exe do this for all the dump?

I sued NAND dumper v.03 to dump my 32GB Wii-U nand and copied all 15 parts to a single nand.bin which is 31,039.388 bytes. When I used nandbincheck nand.bin to check my NAND.BIN I keep getting the error "Failed to determine dump type" "Error setting path to nand object". I don't believe I got any errors dumping the NAND as my Wii-U rebooted after it was done. Is my NAND bad?
