I'd switch for price, but I have a feeling this will have an inverse effect where N2DS XL will sell like hotcakes, scalpers will take advantage, and jack up the price over MSRP, meanwhile N3DS XL lowers in price. Affordability is key for me, but yeah I'd love to have an N2DS XL, looks sexy.

Undefinite answer for me.
I don't use 3D, so a N2DS XL does the job as well as a N3DS XL.
I like the N2DSXL's design, and I absolutely hate most of the N3DSXL designs, especially the launch ones.

...But the N3DS XL FE:Fates though. I hate FE but I still bought that edition because it's awesome

So maybe I want both, but what for? I already have 4 3DS systems...

I find the new 2DS XL expensive for what it offers at this point in time.

It does look more well designed than the new 3DS especially at the hinge and buttons.

They made a design decision that really bothers me, the volume is again on the side making it ez for the player to turn the volume up or down with the palm of their hands by mistake as they play. I thought they learned their lesson by now.

I love the 3D screen so its a no for me. The colours they went for on the 2DS XL also makes it look like a budget console in my eyes.

I'm hoping for a Black Friday sale like we had last year. I think it's over priced for what it is. If it had IPS screens, I would already have it preordered.

The speaker location kills it for me, I know I'd be constantly muffling them with the way I hold the system.

Design is nice from the N2DSXL, but i like the on from the N3DSXL more include his Double IPS Screens

Nah, I love the 3D effect, the aesthetic alone is not enough to justify a change. If I had no interest in 3D, then I might be interested, probably not enough to justify paying for a handheld again though.

not really. it looks bad to me. Everything seems weird and not thought through, especially the way the hinge doesn't go to both ends of the console.

I also like smaller screens because:

1. The console itself is usually a little cheaper
2. The console is lighter
3. The images look crisper because the XL screens keep the same resolution, just a different size, which makes it look stretched

They also moved the Volume control back on to the side, and my huge ass hands always end up moving it by accident.

The speaker placement is awful.

Unless they can give out a N2DS that fixes the volume and speaker issues and costs a little less (yes I know, the N2DSXL only costs $150) I am not going to pick up any N2DS brand.

I seriously doubt the existing 3DS top screens will be compatible with the N2DSXL, so good luck with that.

I really like the New 2ds xl design but I dislike that it's so light so I'm sticking with my New 3DS xl. One reason because the weight feels really nice in my hands and I have the special Fire Emblem Fates edition. Plus, I don't want to go through the hassle of installing homebrew on the New 2ds if I get it.
One thing I really like about the N2ds though is that you can actually access the sd card without fucking screw driving off the back.

Ay I have that one too. I actually like Fire Emblem though (excluding Fire Emblem Fates which is an utter garbage game that Intelligent Systems should be ashamed of developing and I hate it which is pretty ironic). I just bought it because I like fire emblem and it does look really really nice.

Not only do I have no use for it (my N3DSXL) does its job fine, but I find the N2DSXL's design to be awful, both functionally and aesthetically. It really seems like a step backwards, and it's honestly quite overpriced for what it is at this point in time.

You dislike the new 3ds xl's design? I thought it was really nice although I'd prefer it in matte and if it had a more accessible sd card.
