Kingdom Hearts 3 "Orchestra" Trailer

As E3 kicks off, companies are revealing trailers and gameplay footage left and right. Not one to be left out, Square Enix has also gotten in on the fun, by releasing a trailer for the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3. Showing off both cinematic scenes and gameplay, the trailer lasts for about 2 minutes, ending with a logo and that the game will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There's still no release date for the game, so it seems fans are going to need to keep on waiting.

Yup, that looks patently like Kingdom Hearts. I dunno, I never found the KH battle system to be engaging or fun in any way, just a hackathon that got too annoying too quickly because enemies would respawn immediately after you exited and re-entered an area. Love the universe and the charm, and everything else about KH except the gameplay. The command menu in what is otherwise an action game doesn't help tbh.

I can totally understand that. I had high hopes for the new title to be faster and more fluid to make battles shorter overall. But as soon as I played the new Birth By Sleep "game", my hopes were shattered.
Still the same clunky movements and the endless combo work to end battles. Why do these series never learn? They had so much time. :-(

Of course I'm still excited, but not that much anymore.

where have you guys been? this has been known for years :P
It was said on the first trailer xD
Oh I really love this new trailer. We can see graphical improvements, and so two pieces of some cutscenes (the both very interesting, I have to say). Also that new Ansem and Xenmas models are awesome! Waiting for the next trailer, it's more than possible that they'll say a release window on it, just a the roumors says.

Honestly, I expected cartoon styled graphics... With such realistic light effects, Donald and Goofy look too... '3-dimensional'. We'd eventually get used to it, though.

To be fair, I think this is the first game since KH2 to be made by the main team who did KH1 and 2, and that game had massive gameplay improvements over the first. It's no guarantee of course, but who knows?

The trailer itself looks great, but it's probably not going to be released for another two years or so, so I can't get too hyped up about it.

You seem to be better informed than me. Really? All the other titles were from completely different teams?
Yes, of course it does look great, no discussion on that point. :-)

I was hoping for 2018.

Most of the KH team worked on FFXV for the past decade.
