Remember Total_Noob? The PSP dev famous for TN-Hen, and the various TN-V ePSP firmwares, Total_Noob "Left" the scene back in ~2014. Sometime after, we had a developer seemingly well-versed in PSP and ePSP hacking sort of "pop up" with his various Vita and PSP hacks, including Adrenaline. Since then, The Flow has released all sorts of updates for VitaShell and Adrenaline, including adding in PS1 support, but nobody really knew who he was beyond someone who really knew PSP hacking. Well, now we know, The FloW is Total Noob.

There's been a lot of speculation that The Flow must've been someone well-known in the scene ever since he popped up with promises of a full ePSP CFW for 3.60, and looking at the Adrenaline source and comparing it with TN-V made it a bit more obvious. But now, we have a full reveal, and with the reveal The Flow states he has "Something big" coming in September as well. With nothing more specific than "No, not 3.65 anything".

I have always wondered who Dark Alex was or is now, if under a different alias.

I wonder if nearly all of the PSP/Vita hackers are just Dark Alex under various names. Kinda like a large portion of vaporwave comes from the same artist under like half a dozen different names, some of which are very well known within the genre.

I remember him. He was the first guy who managed to hack the PSP 3000 back when 6.x (?) firmware was deemed unhackable. Good times.

Speaking about the PS3k "brite and slim", did something ever come out of that Russian method for Pandora/JigKick 2.0 where you needed to create some special header mod in the memorystick pro duo? I remember seeing it all explained and suddenly it was gone and everyone knowledgable was super tight-lipped blabla (c) Sony files involved blabla? I mean even the PSP2 a/k/a VITA is nearing end-of-life so it's time to start releasing PSP stuff before it goes down and lost forever.

The big deal is that the bootloader on the memery stick must be signed, and since the ta-88v3 the required keys were changed (not like the original ones were easy to obtain)

Already happening, I must have spent 2 total hours on google to find a working mirror of LightSpeed for 6.60

You're right, after the TA088v3 it was game over (for unbricking) except for Datel's "Lite Blue Tool" that was either fake or they were afraid of Sony's lawyers and caved in.
And maybe in some junk drawer is a real Sony magic memory stick/JigKick ][ battery for the PSP 3000 TA-90v2, taken home by a repair facility employee long after Sony stopped servicing PSPs and nobody really cared where they were anymore. Perhaps someone like TN/TF or mathieulh may still be interested in that, but likely it's Gone Forever.
