And the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, though in another pattern around the big X button.
Actually, it is difficult not to find that light scheme for gamepads.

well, since they were on the joygrip, one for each joycon, i wondered
I mean, is there really a game that requires a joy grip with a Player 1 and Player 2 joycon on it?
If there was, they would be treated as independent Joycons and would have different LEDs lit up. That would be pretty weird though.

It's just like that because the grip is nothing more than a piece of plastic, and the indicators are simply light rails going from each JoyCon. It also helps to know that the controllers are set up correctly and aren't set to player 1 and player 2 for example.

Only every multiplayer game so far.

Snipperclips, Tetris Vs Puyo, Mario Kart

Also, I'm just curious - if you thought they were battery indicators, did you think they weren't charging correctly as even after charging it would still show one light?

I've tried playing MK8D with only one Joy-Con but it felt really clunky, unnatural and uncomfortable. Not something I'll ever do again.

You learn to sacrifice when you have a partner that wants to play multiplayer and you're not ready to shell out $100 Canadian for the pro controller.

Luckily the 8bitdo updates came before I had to seriously consider using that much dough.

Yeah, but bought the Switch Pro Controller so no need for that and plus, with 8 Bitdo controllers compat with it there's no reason to use those shitty controllers (shitty as in, playing a game properly with only one controller).

We need to figure out the blutooth protocols so we can use inputs from a PCs blutooth connection. That would kill, using a PS4 controller for fighting games or a SNES pad for VC games.
