Hacking MicroSD card set to write protected after updating to Luma 8.0 and b9s 1.2

As the title suggests. Upon updating my MicroSD was set to write protected mode and I don't know how to fix it. Before I knew about this, I went to play animal crossing and my save was corrupted, as well, many games are giving this error.

Any idea how to fix this issue?
(And yes I followed the update guide exactly)

Buy a new microsd. When microsd goes into write-protect mode its usually dead and can't be recovered due to nand errors, controller locks nand so you can still copy your data from it.

Don't get rid of it. There's a fix. It happened to my USB flash drive.

Open up command prompt (

+ R , type 'cmd' and hit Enter)
Type 'diskpart'
Click yes on UAC confirmation
Type 'list disk'
If, your microSD is F:\ for example, type 'sel vol f'
Finally type 'attributes disk clear readonly' and hit Enter.
Boom, it's no longer write-protected.
Type 'exit' and hit Enter to safely X out Diskpart.

Thanks for the suggestion but I tried that already. Confirmed defective sd, will be sending in for RMA.
