From what's I've been gathering on this site lately, most of you use Haxchi instead of Mocha or Loadiine. If so, then you are aware that save data backup programs such as SaveMii or Saviine's results are hit or miss. With all do respect to the people making these programs, Nintendo's costumer disservice policies makes it that even formatting your Wii U will make your save data on an external storage useless.

Now I'm not programmer, that's a fact, but I have been working for software companies for over 12 years, so I know that the only other motivation that will push results other than the challenge itself is money. Now I can't speak for everyone here, but except during weekends, holidays and vacation days, I have little free time, so much so that if I could buy extra hours every day, I would.

In short, here is my proposal: Make a simple and easy to use program that allows you to backup and restore save data to any Wii U systems and that's at lease compatible with major titles. We're talking about first party of course, the non-shovelware 3rd parties and VC titles would be nice too.

Now don't get me wrong, this wouldn't be an actual Kickstarter, the point is to see how much money we could potentially give to a programmer, have this person make the program, prove to us that it works, we send the money via Paypal and the programmer releases the program. The programmer is free to release the source code or not.

Communities such as ours tend to have the reputation of being nothing but pirates who won't pay for anything. I don't know about you guys, but I purchase my physical games and dump them myself, so I think it's time that we prove those stereo types to be wrong. Anyway, guess I'll start my pledge, 100$ USD.

15.000.000 * 300 = 4.500.000.000
15.000.000 * 0,003 = 50.000
lol, I did 15 000 000 / 50 000 instead of 50 000 / 15 000 000 000
Guess if everyone gave him a penny, he'd have 3 times his asking price, unless Paypal know how to take 4% of a penny :P

Eh, if someone wants to do it they will. The 3ds has a great app that does just this that was made and released for free, with source code (I THINK). It should come eventually.

Saviine never gives me a problem, it works 100% of the time for me.

SaveMii is a different story, because it doesn't work with Haxchi.

But like I said, Saviine works perfectly fine for me. I think it may not work for some people because they simply don't know how to use it.

And I don't use the included batch files when I run Saviine, I use the Command Line. Such as "C:/saviine/saviine.exe dump" OR "C:/saviine/saviine.exe inject". And it works 100% of the time.

I've never used the included batch files with Saviine by the way. I have always used just the command line.

I had games that wouldn't backup and some that wouldn't restore, so there's compatibility issues. And SaveMii is compatible with Haxchi, but like Saviine, it has compatibility issues. Finally, although I can use Saviine, simple is not a word I would associate with it.

Have you been in the SaveMii thread? Everyone that had problems with SaveMii, most of them were because they are running Haxchi. Even the developer said SaveMii doesn't work to well with haxchi.

As for Saviine, its pretty simple for me. In windows 8/8.1, save Saviine to your C:/ drive, such as "c:/saviine/", with no spaces or anything. Then go into the Saviine folder, hold down "SHIFT" then right click inside the folder, then select "Open Command Window Here", then to dump your saves type "saviine_server.exe dump". Then to inject your saves type "saviine_server.exe inject". Done.

I can make a guide that goes into great detail on how to use Saviine, if you like? Once you successfully use Saviine once, its not that hard at all.

Saviine is pretty competent and easy to use if you use the GUI program with it... which oddly enough its called Save-Mii.
Didn't know there was a GUI for it, would have been better than using a command prompt. That being said, I doubt that it improves the compatibility.

OK, list me the games that you've successfully backed up and restored into another system.
Well... i'm pretty sure there's a thread in this site for Wii U saves that i've been using for a while, and i doubth those saves originally came from my system and they work just fine.
