Type of Console using it on? 3ds dsi Ds lite and firmware version if applicable
Tried a different SD card?
Size of card being used? How is it formatted?

Tried on hacked 3DS using the stage2 launcher by ApacheThunder (which works fine for my original R4), as well as on my DS Lite. Tried both with a FAT formatted 2GB card as well as a FAT32 formatted 8GB card (I don't have any other cards).

Well those look like good test cases for me.

Lots of clones will make it difficult to find the right firmware and if the card has gone bad... no firmware may work...

So here are my last two suggestions:

I would just keep trying different firmwares until you find one that works...

I would try looking on filetrip they have tons of old firmwares.

Second: paper trick (it says for acekard but I had issues with some other flash carts as well so not sure if it applies to yours but just in case) https://gbatemp.net/threads/solving-acekard-contact-issues.231412/

Ok, I'll take a look there. Thanks!

I've tried about 12 different firmwares from around the web already, haven't checked that filetrip link yet tho. I'll take a look and see if any work!

Edit: So unfortunately none of the ones I tried worked. Most of the download are for the R4i-SDHC, and I have a regular R4 SDHC. Might just label this one as a lost cause and buy a new one or something.

Maybe the kernel for the R4-SDHC from http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp works. (but you probably already tested it).

You could see if the original website got archived by the wayback machine and see if there are any links to the firmware on it.

Link to the wayback machine https://archive.org/web/

I believe the website was just r4sdhc.net or something like that. Can't find it again :/
I just looked it up on archive.org, and it seems like it either never existed or that it never made it on there. Please try YSMenu if you haven't done so...

Sorry for the late replies, here's a picture of the cart

I'll try YSMenu and see if that works too, although it'll have to wait until morning
