Hacking My Wii U is on 5.5.1. Why is there a system update wanting to download?

I'm 100% certain my Wii U is on 5.5.1. I attached a picture of my Wii U's system version in order to relieve any doubts. (Crappy quality because the system version is only displayed on the Gamepad.) So with that being said, I blocked Nintendo's update servers to protect my Wii U from any future updates. I have haxchi, but I don't want updates being installed without me knowing about it. In my Download Management, it shows that there's a system update that tried to download. (Also attached a pic for that.) Are there any disadvantages to installing it? Thanks in advance.

That's because you are blocking updates.
This means your Wii U can't check for updates.

You probably used the DNS block server thing to prevent updates. (I think guides probably forget to actually mention this part of the blocking process which is why people still asking)

Anyway this will always happen cause of those DNS you inserted to block updates. As long as you have it, this will happen. Don't worry about it unless you play online or download something from eshop.

The chance of a update are 1%, so is nothing to concern about. Not saying there won't be one, since many consoles do get after market updates but is very low.

It's nintendo you can never second guess what they are going to do lol they are the most unpredictable company in existence. That's why I will always keep my system blocked. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I did not know either. But I also got my Wii U just 2 months ago. Wonderful machine, been wondering if that update is due to haxchi 99.99.99 FW. But now I know thanks. You don't have to ridicule OP for asking..

The displayed version number is just a cosmetic thing, system updates don't work that way - each title has its own version and can be updated independently

(compare to 3DS and DSi where specific-title downgrades or upgrades are sometimes useful, or Wii where the displayed version number is a string preprogrammed in the launcher and says nothing about what really matters for compatibility = IOS)
