Hacking Got my 8 year old son a vita....

Hey. So I got my son a Vita with 3.55OFW. Was thinking about Henkaku or Adrenaline on it but not 100% if I should.

When Turning the vita on will games etc I put on it be able to play as soon as it boots or do you have to run a hack program 1st. also if there is a better hack or anything else out there please let me know.

You're in luck. Later this summer, a newer version of Henkaku will allow the CFW to boot right when you turn on the vita. Ergo, you can play the games right from the boot without needing to reinstall Henkaku. You can install it for him now, if you teach him how to reinstall it. Or, you can wait until the new version is released. It's really up to you. Just make sure he doesn't update the vita

Also, there's the vita's sleep mode (just presssing power button once OOPs) which is quite efficient (it can last around 2 days in that mode w/o being used in my experience).

Thanks for the quick reply. has there been a ETA when it will be out. is there away to make sure he cant update like how we did on the 3ds dns setting. I have downloaded a few games for it so when I do put a hack on it.

Reenabling henkaku is as easy as open email app and check one message. That's all!

well, for more information about the new hack. Look up "Henkaku Enso" That will tell you everything we know
A small piece of advice is to be carefull what you download. There are malicious people that make applications that can brick a vita

Some other things i suggest you look into is "Adrenaline" and "HBL" those are a must need for vita owners

that is a valid point. Both can do roughly the same things in terms of emulation. It comes down to what games you would want. Personally i would rather have a 3ds but i grew up with a psp. I got SO MUCH homebrew on that sucker. Both systems have a lot to them.

both of my sons and I have 3ds. games like little big planet and minecraft is why he is wanting a vita. He has started to get into the Metal gear solid games now. I presume there is an "ISO" site for the vita as well.

Your 8 year old son doesn't want a shitty Vita. It's a dead console. Get him a freaking 3DS. It has far better games, including Pokémon. Every 8 year old wants Pokémon or Mario games. Don't make his life suck and change ur mind before it's too late, bro. I'm warning you! Hands away from that plague dude
