It's kinda hard to say. So here I go:
I have this terrible game (Not gonna tell you wut cuz I'll get banned or whatever again) and It's trash. I was wondering if I could change the game entirely to a name game. It's a Nintendo DS game card, I was wondering if I could change it and possibly use it on a non-homebrewed 3ds

Same. All retail game cards/cartridges/discs for whatever console are read-only. There is absolutely no way to alter them.
Oh ok. But is there any way to do anything? like purchase one of those DS card things with the SD card thing in them? Could I turn that into a game? I know that's how you homebrew the DS

Not entirely true (as NES, SNES, MD, etc can have their roms swapped out for flash roms... if you know how to solder and have a chip writer), but certainly true for DS/3DS.

Those are usually called flashcards, and they don't turn into a game. You put game files in the micro SD cards in order to play them on a DS/3DS. Depending on the card, it may work only on an original DS, or DSi/3DS up to certain firmware versions. Other people here may be able to tell you which cards work on the current 3DS firmware.

that ds card thing with a sd card in them is basically a device to play roms from the sd card. you can make those any game you want.

I'm sure going through the hassle of buying the tools, soldering, flashing, etc. will cost you more than just buying a flashcart that can at the minimum cost you 10 dollars. (or if a 3DS game can cost you 20 dollars more than a brand new game) You shouldn't really have a reason to go through the trouble for it.

this is the most confusing thread ever. I am one hundred percent sure there is no rule against mentioning flashcards. i mean, theres an ad for a gateway on my screen right now, and theres an entire section dedicated to ds flashcards...

@Heckuhfus we can discuss almost everything about methods to run games on your consoles, we can't share links to copyrighted material (some firmware files, and essentially can't link ROMs/CIAs or any form of getting the actual games to put in such devices).
So essentially, to run DS games you want to get an DS flashcard that is compatible with 3DS, there are actually lots of cheap R4i who does it.
To run 3DS games, the cheapest route is to try to follow this guide: https://3ds.guide/
Reprogramming an actual cartridge to hold another game may be doable if the ROM chip can actually be forced rewritten like some old genesis and super nes games are able to do, but the cost to do it (if possible) probably is way too high compared to getting an flashcard for DS games or folllowing the guide to play 3ds games (heck, even an Sky3DS+ may be cheaper, and it's a flashcard that runs copies of 3DS games). Also, most of "shit games" use the smallest memory chip available so essentially you would be able only to swap a horrible game with another horrible one.

he specifically said "I have this terrible game (Not gonna tell you wut cuz I'll get banned or whatever again)". what "game" could he possibly think he'll get banned for mentioning?
I don't know but if he got banned for calling it a bad game then one of the admins must've gotten butthurt. Not saying that it happened but thats what he is implying. He didn't have to mention that its horrible, he could've just asked how to flash the card to have another game.
